ThunderEase Pheromone Calming Spray for Dogs

It works really well in helping my dog settle down. She still gets over-excited at seeing people, other pets, etc. but this stuff really helped with her calming down. This stuff won't stop your dog from getting initially triggered, but it will help with them in relaxing afterwards much sooner.

My dog has always been a bit nervous but the older she gets the worse it has gotten in a few situations. She’s also going partially blind and doubts herself when she’s passing through with something on her side, in front of her, or jumping. If it’s dark, it’s also really bad. She also suffers with separation anxiety because she’s left alone while I work. Thankfully she goes and hangs out with my parents two days a week but I don’t get home till after dark so jumping in the vehicle has not been easy for her, I’ve been having to carry her from the house to the car the past week-something needed to be done because she’s a medium/large dog and I’m not Hercules! Anyway, I squirted this on her collar before we left last night and it was so neat to watch this stuff actually work!!! You could see her whole demeanor change from being nervous and a bit scared to her tail wagging and a “let’s go home ma!” Pep in her step!!! This brought me so much joy and relief for her. Bonus, this is all natural and I’m not putting anything in her system. Definitely recommend. It does have a bit of an alcohol smell with you first spray it, not very pleasant but it quickly fades. I take her collar off and spray 3 squirts down her collar, let it dry for 10 minutes and put it back on her. I’m not sure why the review asks about pain, I guess it would calm them a bit if they were distressed from pain but I don’t have an issue with that.

Definitely helps calm our little Shih Tzu during storms. Pricey but works.

I wish it had helped with his car anxiety. We saw no change. I really wanted it to work because he is miserable in the car and has to go with me every morning. It was worth a try - I know it's not going to work for every dog. I don't blame the manufacturer. I have also tried a calming supplement, treats in the car, and putting his bed in the car, and those things didn't help either.

Despite being on prescription medication, my Beagle would experience uncontrollable trembling and could not be comforted during rain or thunderstorms. During our spring rainy season, I decided to try ThunderEase out of desperation, and to my surprise, it worked! Now, during heavy rain or thunder, Roxie remains alert and a bit stiff, but she is no longer frightened or trembling. We don't have to use the medication, which had not been very helpful anyway. I simply spray her favorite blanket at the first sign of rain or thunder and wait 10 minutes for it to take effect. There is no residue left behind, and the alcohol scent dissipates within minutes. Given how fearful Roxie was, I honestly did not expect this product to work, but I am so glad that I gave it a try.

I hope it works for some dog owners but this has not made a bit of difference in my dogs anxiety/behavior. I tried it in hopes of calming her on car rides. She loves to ride but if tends to get really anxious if we don't go to familiar places. I've used it - just as instructed for several car rides and it's absolutely no difference. I love the "no drug" concept to help with anxiety but this just did not work for us. Since I spent the money I will use it until it's gone but so far nothing. The dog is about an 80lb German Shepherd. I will say that after an initial alcohol smell, I don't notice it. I wait the full 15 minutes before I allow her into the car.

This product has worked as advertised. I have two Golden Retrievers. One dislikes thunder, and he starts panting and getting very clingy when it rumbles outside. After this product arrived, I treated his bed with this spray before the next thunderstorm, and he was quite noticeably less anxious. He was still a little tense,, but freely walking around without breathing heavily. Impressive. The other dog is afraid of going places and meeting new people outside of our own "pack". I sprayed the back of my car before our next venture into the world, and she was visibly calmer throughout the trip, including our arrival at the vet -- a place she usually makes it clear that she'd rather avoid. Both dogs went with us on a 5-hour (each way) trip over spring break, and they did very well, laying down for much of the journey with little or anxiety. It doesn't completely eradicate anxiety, but it isn't presented that way, so I give it 5 stars. This is a helpful product. It's a little pricey, but we don't have to use it all the time.

It works! So much better than doping your dog up. I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting a lot. Would absolutely buy again.
