Detroit Axle - Front Brake Kit for 2004-2017 Nissan Quest

Perfect fit for my 2002 Silverado 2500 HD Crew Cab. All parts were there. They even included grease. The slides were pre-greased! The grease they supply is for back of the pads and the bracketry. Rotors and calipers seem to be good quality, no fitment issues. Brake pads seem a bit on the cheap side, but sufficient. Broke the pads in right after install. Brakes smooth, steady, and evenly. Brake job was a piece of cake. Wish I could say the same about the brake hoses. Apparently, none of the brake hoses they sell for my truck fit my truck! Every hose on the entire internet, or in a parts store, that they sell for this truck, has a steel 90 degree bend just before the banjo bolt. My OE lines were nothing like this. I tried installing the line sideways at the banjo bolt, it will bolt up, but the line interfered with the shock on a tight turn, it's a no go. Even the Chevy dealer in town could not get the right hose! It was a nightmare figuring out all the stuff to buy so I could run new brake hoses. Repurposed the brackets from the stock hoses as it was practical to do so. If this situation happens to you, you need banjo bolt adapters, they have 3AN fittings, for a 3AN hose connector, please note brake lines and brake hoses are NOT the same threads. I had to find an adapter for the other end to adapt from the 3AN hose connector to the brake line threads coming in from the master cylinder. (The process required downsizing to a 3/16 hose from the stock 1/4, this is the size I found the banjo adapters in. Research tells me that 3/16 and 1/4 inch lines are capable of the same exact pressures.) I hope this helps somebody who runs into this issue. NOTE: none of this detracts from the Detroit Axle brake kit. It's a solid kit. But somebody sure screwed up on the brake hose thing.

Excellent product, quality, and fit…going to buy a new set for the rear next month. Remember the part # has R or L at the end of the part # on the disk. Mixups happen so make sure you got one of each. They will happily replace a mixup. And R/L is referenced from the drivers seat looking forward.

I used this as an upgrade for my 2004 suburban. Amazon will tell you it doesn’t fit, but if you have 17” or bigger wheels, it bolts right on. These brakes came stock on newer suburbans and are about 1” bigger than the originals, therefore provide more stopping power. It’s a noticeable difference and I highly recommend it for older suburbans. As for longevity, I’ve only put a few miles on them so we will see how well they wear. As of right now, I love it.

This kit came with everything i needed and more , i figured for about 10$ more I’d go for the drilled and slotted rotors this fit my 98 Jeep Cherokee perfectly and was a easy upgrade after driving a bit they started squealing and sometimes will shake but it stops the car and does what it is supposed to do ultimately this vehicle was cheap so I opted for a cheap brake job and this did the trick

Very heavy duty rotors. Very impressed for the money. Pads are good too. Includes dot3 brake fluid and brake cleaner. Another surprise. These parts are far better than any brake parts I bought before. The price is so good. I’m installing today. I will update if any problems

Just put these on my 2011 Honda Pilot with 193,000 miles and honestly I am blown away. I have been using these for a few weeks now and these have been nothing but amazing. Before this I had a setup from Bosch and they weren't as good. I was actually about to just grab the cheap ones from AutoZone to save money but it turns out this kit has better value and it is cheaper than going the budget route. Plus it comes with brake grease, brake fluid and brake clean. And not to mention all the metal shims and accessories you need. Everything is right there in the box. The performance is fantastic. There is no noise or squeak whatsoever when I stop, which is saying something for a high-mileage SUV. And the brake dust is nonexistent. My wheels stay clean even after a week of driving. For a complete kit at this price with all the extras included, you cannot beat it. Highly recommend for anyone doing their own brakes.
