The gold plating is obviously pointless for an optical cable but the whole thing does have a quality feel to it.

Gives better functionality for Samsung bar compared to HDMI connection
Connect Samsung soundbar to TV. Originally had it connected by HDMI but didn’t benefit from the auto on feature you get with optical connection. Sound quality still the same as HDMI but soundbar now turns on when the TV does.

Very good quality - could be longer
Very good cable noticed the difference in sound over the thin lead I had with LG Soundbar. Connections are solid and lock in well.Only thing stopping me giving it 5* was it's around 3/4 a metre (75 cm) not quite a metre but plenty of cable regardless.
