Just buy it!
Buy this chair now! I'm doing to do my best to be as concise as possible and refrain from going on an endless rant about how much I love this chair. What I'm going to do instead is accurately and thoroughly review this marvel of modern engineering. First I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a 6 foot tall 250 pound military member with previous surgery on L5S1 which has left me with nerve pain every day of my life as well as problems on three other levels of my spine. Generally chairs aren't designed to seat a person of my stature and won't last very long. I require a chair that's very sturdy, adjustable and ergonomic. The box came, overjoyed I struggled to lift it into my apartment. The first thing I noticed was the weight of the box. It gave me a sense of assurance in knowing that I bought quality. The Hardware felt to be of good manufacturing. Also I received double the hardware necessary to assemble the chair. I LOVE EXTRA HARDWARE. The instructions were very well illustrated and the chair built in minutes. One thing that I really appreciated was the way adjustments were engineered into the design of the chair. While assembling you can adjust the width of the arm rests. Once the bolts are tightened down your arm rests will only adjust up and down. Another adjustment built into the chairs construction is controlling the distance from the seat to the back rest. This is generally only a feature on higher end chairs and I was happy to see that is has quite a bit of range. The roller blade wheels are amazing! My apartment has tile floor and my old terrible chair struggled to move anywhere, often getting tiny wheels stuck in the grooves of the tile. It generally made navigating chasms of my unorganized room clumsy and difficult. With these rollerblade wheels I can glide from one end of the room to the other. Its effortless, I love it. The mesh feels very comfortable and breathable. The lumbar support is amazing. I nearly fell asleep the moment I sat in this. The lever that allows the chair to tilt back or sit straight up is the kind of lever that you push down or pull up. This is very good because some other chairs have a lever that's essentially a bar that you slide horizontally. Over time the bar can work its way out so when you go to sit back in your chair the lever pops out and the char sends you flying backward. This has happened to me at least fifty or sixty times and I have ended up on the ground as a result of this. The design of the seat back lever of prevents this from happening. This chair is so comfortable that I felt the need to write this review as soon as I sat down. Already my back feels better, my nerve pain is reduced. I had been sitting on a broken chair for over a year and a half until I noticed the amount of discomfort I was ignoring and pulled the trigger on this. I will update this review if anything changes or the chair fails over time.

Better Than Expected...
The chair was ordered on Dec. 27, 2022 and arrived on Dec. 30th. A quick and timely delivery in light of the world as we know it today. The chair was boxed & packaged nicely and there was no shipping damage which is always a good thing. I removed all the components from the box to begin assembly. This was a very easy process. The instructions were easy to follow and all the components appeared to be well made. Assembly maybe took me approx. 20-minutes or so. Once assembled I gave it a "test drive" in my living room. At first the seat pad felt a little too hard and i thought maybe I would have liked softer seat padding. The roller blade wheels really made the chair scoot around extremely easy and smoothly. No noise going over my hardwood floors. Nice. I like how the chair back leans back and you can easily lock in the position you want and then easily unlock. I like the lumbar support adjustment and also really the headrest adjustment (nice addition if you have long video conferences like I do...I can rest my head in a comfortable semi-upright position during the video meetings). I have now used this chair in my office for the month of January and I love it. No complaints. The padding that I thought was going to be too hard is really not too hard at all...I am comfortable sitting in this chair for up 8-hours or more. I am in my mid-60's and this chair does not give me any pain(s) whatsoever. Great value for the money spent! I should also note that Duramont reached out to me shortly after I received the chair making sure that did receive the chair and if so was I happy with chair thus far. Nice customer follow-up. I purchased this chair sight unseen other than the reviews & pictures I saw online. I did not want to run around to furniture stores or Office Stores trying out chair after chair. I was lazy after Christmas. I took a chance and this time I got lucky and it really paid off.

Okay overall; best for taller people
I've only been sitting in this chair full-time for 3 days now, but I already have a good idea of my pros and cons. Pros: - Seems sturdy, I think it will last a while - Easy to assemble - Looks great - Many options for adjusting the chair (arm height, headrest height/angle, lean back, degree of lumbar support, chair height) - Rolls easily (this could be a problem though if your floors are not level) - Seat is comfortable - Comfortable head-rest - You can lock the seat in place to it doesn't lounge back or you can keep it locked in a slightly leaned back position Cons There are a few things about the chair you should be aware of since I think these could be a deal-breaker for some: - Not suited for short people (or should I say, people with short shins). If I measure the bottom part of my leg from the bend of the back of my knee (backside of my leg past my calf) to the ground it's about 16-17 inches. My feet touch the ground but JUST BARELY. This is with the seat at its lowest point. If the chair were a smidge higher I don't think I would be able to use it because my feet would not be able to touch the ground fully. I'm 5'8". - I agree with other reviews that at its most upright position, the chair still feels like it's leaned back too far. I prefer to sit very upright when I work so this is my most major complaint. - Like some other office chairs I have used, you can't move the arm-rests from side to side to make them narrower or wider, and you can't adjust the distance between the seat back and the seat. If you have longer thighs this could be an issue since your knees may go too far past the end of the seat. - The lumbar support is just okay. I don't love it or hate it. I really just wish the seatback leaned forward more to support my upper spine. In summary: if the seatback leaned forward more at its most upright position, and if the chair were a bit shorter at its lowest point, I think this would be the perfect chair for me. If you're on the taller side and naturally tend to lean back slightly when you work I think this is a great purchase. Otherwise, it's not worth it especially at the price point.

Worth every cent
This chair is so amazing. I have gone from sitting in a cushioned kitchen table chair to this. The support is out of this world. The material is so amazingly sturdy. It is so comfortable. The only thing I would suggest, is to mark what’s front and what’s back on the seat for instructions on putting it together. The subtle differences between the front and back are not that different. The cost of this chair is so worth it.

Luxurious? No. Wicked comfy? Hella!
First impressions. Replacing a Respawn gaming chair, looking for something with a more robust seat. The Respawn seat flattened to the wood in a few weeks, had to buy a butt cushion, but that's another review. I need a solid well constructed, very comfy all-day chair for telehealth work. I was looking at mesh chairs, but worried about stretch and longevity. Wife nixed all my cushy leathery chairs like the Sertas, and got me to buy this one. Looked like a nice cushy seat, comfortable airy back. Seemed a bit pricey, but I'm cheap (the Sertas evidence to the contrary), which is why the wife picked the chair. It looked good, so we bought the Duramont ergonomic chair for a solid seat and a mesh back, a hybrid. Nicely boxed, heavy. Well packaged, arrived undamaged. Unpacked in a few minutes. I followed the easy directions, one page. Had it together in less than 25 min. It really does come with white cotton gloves, and a very nice T hex wrench. Popped the wheels on, stuck the airlift in the very heavy solid metal base. Nice wheels. The cat is a very big 18 lb Siberian for scale, who is head butting my phone as I try to write this. His name is Zaphod, big lovey lug of a cat. I used the box as a table to build the seat on which made getting it together by myself quite easy. I set the seat upside down on the box. I put the base on first, instead of the armrests, because as an American ain't no one the boss of me. Actually, because ts massively heavy and held the seat down steady. 4 bolts, solid, felt like they could take gorilla tight, but I stopped just short. The armrests were also easy, but I could feel the wood give a bit on a couple bolts so they are nice and tight but also not gorilla tight. Solid. This thing is a tank. First sitting: luxurious? No. Kinda utilitarian. Wicked comfy? Hella yeah. The seat is firm and very comfortable for my 5"11", 235 lbs of chubby buddy. Loving that lumbar pad support, right where its suppose to be on my back. I found I have the armrests all the way up, as well as the head rest, but it's quite comfortable. This seat can be raised really high, my feet don't quite touch the ground at full extension of the airlift, nice for my high desk. First impression: solid, well constructed very comfy chair. Is it worth $329? I wouldn't have bought it, but I'm cheap. My wife never misses getting the quality she pays for, this chair included. Tomorrow's work day will tell if its a solid, well constructed very comfy all-day chair. If you want quality, this is a good bet.

Highly recommend.
OMG!! What a huge improvement!! Firm seat, but oddly more comfortable than my old thick foam one. I'm 6'2", and the height is awesome. Back is comfortable and headrest (who uses a headrest?) is adjustable. The back reclines (the seat doesn't, but I prefer it that way), and the tension is adjustable. The rollers are heavy duty and smooth rolling. Took about 40 min to assemble (I'm slow....and anal), and they provided 1 extra of everything and every fastener used the same hex tool they provided. They even provided a pair of stretchy gloves so you don't get prints on the chrome parts. Also, LOTS of metal....this is a super sturdy chair. I got this for my home office, but am seriously considering getting another for my work office! Absolutely thrilled.

Pretty good chair - long term durability issues
This review comes after 1 year of extended use in a home office. TL/DR: it's a pretty good chair, but be prepared for long-term durability and serviceability issues. The good: it's a comfortable chair. And overall, it's held up pretty well to everyday usage. I'm 6'4 and athletic 240 lbs. Height, headrest, and armrest adjustability has been fine for my body frame. Lumbar support is OK but a little low on my back for me. The bad: (1) The casters. If you're buying this, please just take my word and buy a $30 set of casters with contained bearings when you buy this chair. Like plenty of others said, I started finding bearings on the floor randomly. The grease on the bearings will stain your carpet. After losing enough bearings, I was leaning forward tying my shoes when the front wheel gave out suddenly and sent me lurching face-first into my desk. From delivery to failure was about 6 months. My replacement casters have been good for 8 months since then. Bad (2): the creaks. With the reclining locked upright, if I put any sort of body pressure on the seat back it'll creak this deep mid-rangey grinding sound. If I sit back up, same exact sound. It bugged me for a bit, then I tuned it out. But my poor downstairs neighbors... they say they can hear the creaking transferring through the floor/ceiling. Now I'm super self-conscious about it. And I'm sorry... I don't want to have to be worrying about my chair or doing the silent "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry" when I'm sitting back up at 2am and they're asleep below me. Personal problems, yes, but chair 100% at fault for this? Also yes. I've greased the moving parts, taken apart some of it searching for solutions, and I can't find any. Without these 2 issues, it would have been a no-brainer 5 star review. But trust me on buying casters at the same time you buy this chair.

A Good Value
Update (2/6/20): Almost have had this chair for 2 years now and it's still holding up pretty well. The mesh cushion has sunken a little bit, but is still comfortable. Despite other reviews about the legs of the base breaking, mine have held up perfectly fine. The back mesh is still strong and supports me just fine. The arm rests are still going strong despite my initial concerns. The only annoyance I've had is with the bolt assembly for the back rest. I'm not sure if there were supposed to be nuts included with these, but there should be since I had to re-tighten them on a 1 to 2 week basis if I didn't want the back to wobble when it was supposed to be locked into place. I finally got annoyed enough to just go to a hardware store and find some that would work. This was a few months ago and since then I've not had to re-tighten them. YMMV. ========================================================================================= Original Review: I needed a replacement for my 10 year old office chair, so I figured I would at least get a decent replacement. I received it in the mail a couple days ago and I'm not regretting it so far. Pros: 1. Very comfortable to sit in for more than a couple of hours (my old chair caused me mild back pain after an hour of sitting). The breathable mesh back keeps me fairly cool in my otherwise hot office. 2. Easy to follow instructions. It only took me 30 minutes to put it together. I suggest attaching the back onto the bottom bracket before installing it to the seat unless you have a second person around to help. You also might want to check the shims before you start construction. There are only a few that fit the large screws (I had to take 3 screws back out just to get the right shims). 3. Included everything you needed to put it together. They even threw in some mesh gloves if you don't want to get your hands dirty! 4. The mostly metal construction feels very sturdy and like it will last. 5. Adjustable height arm rests are super nifty. Especially when you're switching between different height desks like me on a regular basis. 6. The casters are very quiet and easy to roll. I can pretty much roll across the office in dead silence if I want. Cons: 1. The box was pretty banged up by the time I received it. I'm not faulting Duramont for this, but it does suck seeing a moderately expensive item come in such a ragged looking package. 2. The chair has a very strong chemical smell. I left it to air out overnight and it has helped, but I definitely need to do it a couple more days. It might not bother you, but it gave me a headache. 3. The armrests feel a little wobbly. This isn't from the bracket being loose, but from the lifter mechanism not being super tight. It's probably fine, but it does make me wonder how long they'll last. Overall I'm happy with it so far. I've sat in more expensive chairs similar to this price and this chair doesn't seem too far behind. It's definitely worth the extra cash over the basic task chairs you'll find everywhere. I'll keep this review updated down the road depending on how well the chair holds up for me, but I think it should be okay for a long time. Cheers!
