## Description

The Champion Power Equipment 201169 6500-Watt Tri-Fuel Portable Natural Gas Ready Generator with CO Shield® is a reliable source of power with the flexibility you need. When you are not running your generator on natural gas, you also have the option of operating it on gasoline or propane. The ability to operate your generator on three types of fuel out of the box makes this one of the most versatile generators on the market. The Fuel Select dial allows you to safely select gasoline, propane (LPG), or natural gas (NG) as your fuel source. Using natural gas, the generator produces 6875 starting watts and 5500 running watts. To connect this generator to your home’s natural gas source, this generator includes a 25-foot NG hose kit, which includes a female quick connect end, a female flare fitting end and an NPT male adapter. Using gasoline, the generator produces 8125 starting watts and 6500 running watts, and will run for 12 hours at 50% load when the 8.5-gallon fuel tank is full. When using a 20-pound propane tank, it produces 7500 starting watts and 6000 running watts, and will run for 6.5 hours at 50% load. A 6-foot propane hose with a built-in regulator is included. With a 1.2-quart oil capacity, this unit has a low oil shut-off switch and includes engine oil – all you need is fuel! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic mid-sized portable backup generator

I have not yet used this in a power outage situation, but in my general setup and couple of trial usages could not have been smoother. It comes with absolutely everything you need, other than a couple 1/2" (or 12mm) box wrenches to attach the wheels, and your choice of fuel. Test 1 was a propane tank and using the battery start, it fired up immediately. I didn't max out the load by any stretch but this is about the same noise level as a much smaller pull-start gasoline-only unit I had previously for over a decade. The natural gas option is a game changer. I am in the process of running a new 3/4" line for my permanent installation with a switching panel to isolate it from city power in an emergency situation. It runs a small mini split a/c and the fridge, plus small lights, fans, etc ... No more clamoring to fill 5-gal gasoline cans before storm season. And for "mobile" use, the simplicity of propane really is more handy than I had expected. Love love love it!
