Review: Impressed - Read & watched many reviews about this pedal. Decided to give it a shot. I’m very glad I did. I like the sound & compact size of it. It is a clone of a name brand pedal but for about 1/3 of the price. I used it at church today & was very pleased with it. I received compliments on my tone. For what I do, this will be perfect for me. I can’t justify spending so much more money for the big name pedal. An excellent value for the money. I recommend getting the Joyo power supply for it. I’ve just used it once so far so we will see how it holds up. Seems well made & sturdy enough for what I do. I will update if anything bad pops up.
Review: Better then expected, lots of sound shaping on already good instruments. - Just got The Tidal Wave and tried it out for a good while. Heard it's a clone of a great DI and unfortunately now a days I'm on a budget now that gigs are becoming less available and I have to downsize to travel further. Honestly, I got it for size, because my other DI didn't fit on my new board by an inch, so this fits great, but besides that, it does have a real good amount of sound shaping. My bass's already sound real good on their own, so I just wanted something to compliment that, and this sure did !!! I have a few basses, but tried it on my Ibanez with their new T1 pickups that I really like, and my Spector with EMG's - and it enhances the tone on both REAL good !!! Just when I thought my tone couldn't get better, it is...lol So I'm very happy with my purchase !!! I haven't tried it live yet, but I'll be back to let you know how it goes through the DI out to the house. Prolly won't bring my Amp to the next casino gig, so I'll probably use this to it's full extent sooner then later. This is just my first reaction from in my room through a practice Amp, but if it sounds this good here, it usually does out there, so.... 5 stars so far !!!

A: Cab sim active only on XLR DI out. 6.35mm & Thru jacks bypass it. Use 6.35mm to bass amp? No effect. XLR to PA/interface? Turn Cab Sim on for authentic bass cab response.

**Q: How should I use the Blend control for the best overdriven bass tone?**
A: Blend: max clockwise = full drive saturation; dial back = clean signal for low-end punch + grit. Modern rock: 12 o'clock. For EQ-only tone, turn fully counter-clockwise.

**Q: MID SHIFT & BASS SHIFT: Surgical Frequency Control**
A: Features two toggle switches. MID SHIFT toggles between 500Hz (scoop the mids for a modern, spacious tone) and 1kHz (boost for growly presence that cuts through). BASS SHIFT toggles between 40Hz (deep sub-bass rumble) and 80Hz (tight, punchy low-end)

Just got The Tidal Wave and tried it out for a good while. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great preamp pedal for the price

Most people will recognize that this is a copy of a V1 version of a super popular pedal by another manufacturer. I actually have this pedal and the pedal it is a copy of, so I can provide a direct comparison. Functionally, they are identical. Same distortion, same flexibility, same straight forward use. The EQ is fantastic and it has so much flexibility that you can really dial in all sorts of different sounds. It really should be in every bass player's toolbox...even if you just end up using it as a DI box in an emergency. The ONLY issue I found where it differed from the pedal it copies, is the volume. This pedal, with identical settings, has a lower output. Now, this isn't to say that can't be compensated for on the amp or mixer side of the equation, so it isn't a deal breaker. But it is a difference. I would say that it has about 85% of the volume output at the same level setting. Still a fantastic pedal for the price.
