Update. Oct-nov 2025: Battery (21700 5000 mhr) has issue where contact plate depresses so it can not contact the light ficture. I apply slight lifting pressure under metal plate on batt to raise contact point and the light works again. See pic. Still going strong, still charges holds charge, still holds seal on batt and plug seals. Dropped ALOT on everything even the road. It's gotten wet and soaked, then dried fine. Might need new seals/gaskets In a few years. Button has lost some paint but still works flawless. see pic.. I get compliments/remarks on its brightness and surprisingly heavy weight for its size. lmao. Old review : Really bright. Came well packaged and it looks and feels premium. Didnt expect it as i bought a random flashlight with the requirements i wanted. Has a few different light modes based off holding or pressing main power button, and a lock function via a few presses. Somewhat easy to use after messing with it. The light projects far and wide. Light dims over time because of heat or something else when on bright modes. Other reviews and a quick search mentions that, not an issue for me. Has a magnetic back plate, can hold itself but an attached lanyard will not allow it to be flush to the surface. Great quality and battery life. Nice that its rechargable. Plug is secure so it should be drop in a river or heavy rain safe. Part of my everyday carry, can be used day or night, super bright or really dim. Would buy again

Incredible flashlight. I did have a small problem with it.. This is the second one of this flashlight I bought. I had to send the first one back because I could not get it to turn on. I tried everything, I took out the small insulating paper that was on the back of the battery. The light would not come on. I tried charging it, but the light was always green saying it was fully charged. The light would come on when it was plugged in, but the settings did not work right. So I sent it back instead of calling anybody. I got this second one and the same thing happened, but I was determined to figure out what was wrong. I had thought I had screwed the back cap on tight, but I realized I was wrong. I soon noticed that you could screw the cap on even tighter. In fact, you need to screw the cap on all the way until it will not move anymore. This is really tight, but it worked. Still the one click did not turn it on. You had to long press and the moon light setting came one. After that you did another long press and the next three brighter settings would happen. Now you could single click and the light would go off and then single click again and the light would come on at the last setting. I believe the first one I sent back would have also worked if I had screwed the cap on as tight as possible. Aside from this, I now like the function of the light. Its very bright at the high and turbo setting and has a long throw. You have to double click to get the turbo setting and double click again to get the strobe mode. A single click after any setting will turn the light off. It is very well built and fits my hand perfectly, so I still gave this flashlight a 5 star ratings even with the problems I had. I think they need to described better what you can do if the light does not come on at first. Either that or make it so you don't need to screw the cap on so tight just for the battery to make contact. Literally if you back the cap off just 20 deg the battery will lose contact. This is a very tight tolerance. I suppose I could pull the spring inside the cap out some so it would make contact earlier. But I should not have to.

This flashlight became my best buddy during an extended power outage after Hurricane Helene. Three settings, the brightest of which will light up an entire room nicely. And it still fits in your pocket. I've now gotten a second one just to have one in reach at all times if necessary. The magnetized bottom was also really powerful and useful. Edit: Received the 2nd, and disappointingly the base magnet has been weakened. This one won't even hold itself horizontally. The strong base magnet was a lot of what made it so useful during the extended blackout. smh

The TIR optic in this light is absolutely amazing. I had been hunting and hunting and hunting for a light that would put up a beam that was an absolute wall of light. In other words, I was looking for something that has absolutely no hotspot at all, just a wall of flood. That is NOT easy to find!! If you’re looking for the same thing, this is 100% the light that you need. The beam is just amazing and it feels great in the hand. It’s a little bit too big for me to carry daily, but when I need to go out to look for something like my daughter‘s friend’s keys that were lost in the park a few nights ago, this was the go to light and it absolutely lights things up to get the job done. Honestly, for the price you absolutely cannot go wrong with this one. If you’re on the fence, buy it now.

This light is sweet! Once you get used to the switch to the different light modes it is a really great light. Would definitely recommend.

Funciona y es mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. Muy potente para su tamaño y precio. Nunca más volveré a usar las linternas de la generación anterior, que hoy en día están completamente superadas por esta tecnología.

La SC29 si presenta estremamente solida, dal peso consistente e con un ottimo grip grazie alla zigrinatura sul corpo centrale e alle dimensioni che si adattano bene ad una mano medio/grande. La dotazione fornita è sempre molto buona e comprende la batteria, l’ottima clip, il cavo micro USB type C, due o-ring di scorta e il lanyard. La clip in acciaio è molto robusta e permette tranquillamente il porto in cintura. La UI è davvero moltosemplice da usare grazie all’unico e-switch di dimensioni generose posto lateralmente. Grazie al led di livello di carica integrato sul pulsante laterale, si è aggiornati in tempo reale sullo stato della batteria, per evitare di rimanere al buio. Il led di cui è fornita è molto potente e l’ottica TIR di cui è dotata, abbinata alla potenza del led, contribuisce a fornire una visuale illuminata non molto ampia ma uniforme. Il tailcap magnetico è decisamente un plus per la SC29 (mi piacerebbe averlo su quasi tutte le torce!!). Mi ha stupito molto la tenuta del magnete, malgrado il peso della torcia con la batteria 21700 inserita non sia assolutamente basso. Essendo molto potente, la torcia tende a scaldare, ma devo dire che sembra dissipare molto bene il calore e si riesce a tenerla in mano per un tempo abbastanza lungo. La SC29 ha un ottimo livello qualitativo, fornisce un senso di robustezza ed è prodotta per resistere a condizioni di utilizzo più difficili. Come sempre l’ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo e la buona dotazione caratterizzano i prodotti Sofirn. Nel caso della SC29, il prezzo è davvero contenuto per ciò che offre a livello di performance e robustezza.
