Confusing Product Description
If the model number of this HDD is (โ ST24000NM002H ) as in the product specification is correct, then it is definitely not a โ12 GB/s SAS HDD. It is then just a 6 GB/s SATA HDD of 24TB Capacity. Not sure if it is a genuine mistake by the seller or a conscious attempt to missell on Amazon.

Waiting for price to drop to get another one
I bought this 24TB drive in Nov 2025. When I put it in, I heard some clicking and could not format the drive. It was showing as only 21TB, which means one of the disks died before it got to me. I returned it and ordered another one. The new one was perfect and has run without a problem since.I plan to buy more (11 in total eventually), but the price has doubled since, so I'll wait for the price to come back down under $500.

Not only that one drive is defective, the seller is not willing to replace it of refund it, they sent me to chase ghosts with Seagate warrantly in a different country. Very disappointed.
