It’s quite strong but you can see through as long as you have a nice contrast to trace. If it’s a very large design you will have to use something like washi tape to tape bits together so you can trace fully rather than sticky tape which is hard to drawn on **Q: Is it more like paper or is it sort of like a fabric?** A: It was more like paper to me, but dissolved perfectly when I used it... So pretty happy **Q: Does it work with Hand embroidery on cotton?** A: I presume that it does works, although I used it with machine embroidery. you must make sure that you use cotton thread for embroidering. Otherwise the fabric and the thread shrinks differently. You must soak it in lukewarm water for a long time. Change the water at least 3 times, so you have no residue left. Try it first on something you don’t mind puckering.
