I snapped the (above) photo in natural light so others could gauge the sheerness of these knee-highs.They are very sheer indeed and I had to be so careful to even photograph them without snagging the material. FAIL. I should have used hosiery gloves. Lesson learned.I chose these to wear under black evening trousers as my bare ankles (and the tops of my feet) made the outfit look unfinished.The packaging for these is (reassuringly, one supposes) labelled: Made in Italy.My packet was also Amazon-branded. So that's something to consider if you are thinking about gifting these.I worried the knee-highs would ladder in my shoes, but they did not. They did snag, but nowhere that showed.To summarise: if you have smooth legs and feet, and put these on either VERY carefully or with gloves, they should work for an evening. They do look the part, and two pairs are included in each pack.

These are very good quality and are a lovely brown/black combination colour, much nicer than just black.

Seamless toes great for summer

I bought these to wear for a funeral. The very first one I put on laddered by my big toe, so I took it off and put another one on. Two hours later, on entering my relative's house, and taking my shoes off, I saw that the sock on the other foot had a ladder in exactly the same place! I was worried that it would travel further than down the length of my toe, but luckily, it stayed where it was, and didn't show under my shoe. When I got home and took my shoes off, there was a very large hole where my little toe is! Dreadful quality!

Very light in colour and not very sheer on the toes for sandles

These fit absolutely fine. They denier is quite fine. I got holes in them on the second wear, unfortunately, but only in the toes.

When I first saw and felt these Looksy 15 denier socks, I thought they seemed quite upmarket, quite silky. Strangely, one of them was longer than the others. Feet and they came up to just below my knees. As advertised I chose the Noiset, hoping for a very natural neutral colour. These are a good colour but just a little darker than I was wanting. So far I have only checked them out for the review and already I have created a few snags so I’m not sure they are going to last as well as I’d hoped. They are 92% polyamide, 8% elastane, which seems generous.
