POWERFUL FOR GAMING/AUDIO PRODUCTION
So much more powerful then I expected, plays Overwatch and some AAA games extremely well! I use this for music production aswell and its perfectly capable. Able to run multiple tracks with heavy vsts, not many clipping and lesser latency then expected. Few things to know before buying: -Led on the top of the system doesnt turn off, couldn't find anything on how to - fans gets a little loud, i would place it on the back of your desk otherwise perfectly capable pc, strong hardware, worth it 100%

Great All-Round Mini PC
Things I like: - Compact in size - Sturdy build (metal casing, hard plastic top and bottom) - Very easy to open to upgrade RAM and/or NVMe SSD(twist plastic top cover and 4 screws) - Excellent performance for the size - Integrated GPU is decent enough to launch virtually any games (playable varied by in-game settings) - Oculink port for future connection with external GPU for quick upgrade graphical performance Things I do not like: - Plastic top cover can be difficult to open (little room for your hand to grip and twist) - RGB fan on top is static (cannot adjust the light effect or even turn off) - Temperature is quite high on factory thermal paste (can reach 91c on "Performance" mode) - Plastic top cover very easy to scratch - NVMe heatsink not possible on the slot that sits directly below the fan (absolutely no clearance) Things I want to do: - Use liquid metal instead of factory thermal paste.

Gets pretty warm and had frequent crashes.
I purchased the GMKtec K11 Ryzen 9 8945HS, 32GB DDR5 after watching 3 different very positive video reviews. First the good. The CPU and RAM are amazing despite using RAM that has slower clock speeds. The integrated 780M graphics are adequate for most needs. The included 1TB SSD was quite good. I added another 2TB Hynix platinum SSD. I do a LOT of gaming and it ran games like World of Warships, Counter Strike 2, various Age of Empires, Sea of Thieves, etc without too much issue. But you do need to dial down the settings some and dont expect high end video performance. My monitor is stock at 1920X1084 res. The PC seems to be very well built and sturdy and has great access to the SSD and RAM. It was also easy to get to the CPU and remove it's heatsink to clean the CPU and reapply some quality thermal paste. I'll tell you why I thought that was necessary. I also did not think the fans were very noisy at all. Of course, I ride a loud motorcycle so that could be why. Now the not so good. I had over heating issues despite having plenty of room for air circulation, setting the PC on a router fan cooler, and it's own built in dual fan system. The cpu was getting up to 80 degrees celsius. Both SSD's were getting pretty warm at 50 (stock Crucial) and 60 (Hynix) degrees Celsius. With the overheating, I was having a LOT of crashes and freezups. I also wonder if the BIOS couldn't be updated to fix some unknown underlying issues. I contacted customer support and Julian responded in a day and was very patient and helpful, so that was good. I tried a number of his suggestions with little result. I wound up sending it back in and getting a replacement. Windows 11 Pro and my other software was again reinstalled. The problems persisted! I had previously bought miniPC's from other venders and had heating issues with their PC's also, which I sent back. So the heating is very likely a miniPC issue. What did seem to help was two things...first, Julian's suggestion to, "Set Windows to "Ultimate Performance" via Command Prompt." The second thing was I decided to go for broke and bought 96GB of Crucial DDR5 RAM. I wish I had bought something faster than the clock settings of the previous 32GB but it seems to have helped a LOT. I have the video RAM set to max 16GB. The other 80GB run the programs. I still get freezeups when I leave it on for several days but they are infrequent. All in all, a good little PC. But I think the company still has some issues to resolve.

Perfectly capable little computer, great form factor
This is a very neat little box of a computer, and if you know what you plan to do with it, I think it's a pretty good value. Basic setup is extremely simple, literally just plug in your mouse/monitor/keyboard and the power supply and turn it on. It booted with zero issues into the normal Windows 11 setup. For some reason the manufacturer recommends that you do not use a LAN cable when you first start the computer, but I was never planning on using it on anything but wifi, and it worked fine over wifi, so that is not a problem for me. Although I am planning in the future to install Linux on this machine, I was grateful that it came with minimal Windows 11 bloatware (just the windows standard stuff). Although initial setup was very fast, as soon as it connected to the internet it discovered that it had a year's worth of Windows updates to install, which takes a while, so the second time you restart the computer, expect it to go through a long update process (10-15 mins). I had no trouble hooking up Bluetooth peripherals (in my case a controller). If you are planning to use this computer for general purpose web browsing/word processing/light home server use/etc, you will have zero problems. For general purpose tasks, this computer is great. It's extremely snappy when browsing the web, downloading files, and running programs like Steam or Discord. I think advertising this as a gaming PC is a bit of a stretch-- there's only so far integrated graphics will get you, and I suspect this computer will suffer if you try to run any truly top of the line games on it. It is great for older games, or lighter indie games. I tested it on Fallout New Vegas and Celeste and it had zero issues whatsoever. I ran a benchmark test and it performed predictably poorly compared to computers with dedicated graphics cards. You can get a little more juice out of this machine by changing the allocation of VRAM in the BIOS. It's by default set at 3GB, but I went in and bumped it up to 8 (see the options in the pictures). After doing that, I didn't notice any performance dips from reallocating away the regular RAM. The 32GB this machine comes with is very generous. Even when I was trying to stress-test this machine, it was very quiet, and putting my hand on the top of the case, it never produced a ton of heat. The best way I could describe this machine is unobtrusive-- it's really small and could easily be mounted beneath a desk to completely hide it away. The power supply it comes with is almost the same size as the computer itself. The computer comes with a mounting bracket that I think is intended to be used to mount it to the wall. My one grumble is that the 1TB of onboard storage will run out pretty quickly if you're a person with a large media library like I am. I am not sure how upgradable the storage is, but I guess I can always just attach an external hard drive if I need more storage. The display options are HDMI and DisplayPort, which is fine. I wish the audio jack were on the back of the box rather than the front, but it is what it is. It comes very well packaged, works right out of the box, and performs exactly as expected. If you have a need for general purpose computing in a small form factor, this will serve that need.

Powerful little machine, but finicky with egpu. Great support.
This is a great mini PC for the price. By itself it can be used as a small but powerful office or development machine, or even for light gaming. However, when you throw in an eGPU it readily opens up alerting you to do much heavier lifts, like video editing or regular gaming. The only I don't give it 5 stars is that despite it having a USB 4 port, I was unable to use my Razer Core X with the device. Nothing I could do wroth get it detected. I reached out to support abs they were very helpful. I exchanged emails with Julian, who was very knowledgeable and walked me through several rounds of trouble shooting. In the end we determined something about the Razer Core X and the USB4 implementation on this device is incompatible. I was able to get my hands on a different eGPU - and AD-GP1. This eGPU worked perfectly. It was simply plug and play since the AMD drivers were already installed.

Blue screens for different issues, many event log errors, many outdated drivers
Snappy, but already 4 blue screens in 1 day, consistent audio jack noise (audio ok via display port and monitor). Why did they turn off driver updates? This unit may be going back as i've already spent many hours setting up and especially looking for potential causes of the issues. Promised to be a nice unit if it didn't have all these issues.... Update1 Several days and attempts to see where the culprit lied causing unexpected reboots, event log littered with errors, initiating a return. To clean up the PC I ran a reset which required a download of Windows 11 from Microsoft. That installation appeared to run much smoother, and the PC seemed ok... for a while... and then the reboots and errors came up again (after installing the audio driver & codec from GMKTec).... (btw... Aux out audio still sucks). I found that the realtek ethernet controlled had a very old driver, hence updated that. Keeping my fingers crossed that this was the main culprit hoping not all was lost so I can cancel the return.... Either case... it seems the issues all stem from a real old image and lack of updated drivers (With exception of the AMD processor noises on the external audio out - not sure that can be fixed with a driver update...). Update2 GMKTec reached out a couple times with several options - The first being a return for refund. Because of my time invested already, I opted to dig a little deeper and work with GMKtec on resolutions. After implementing a few fixes for the most critical items that seemed to have caused the blue screens and at least one of the eventlog errors. it has been more stable for the past 1+day. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will be resolved as the specs on the unit is what I am looking for. The audio noise issue appears to be an incompatibility issue with the kvm switch. Separating audio / re-cabling some of my setup may resolve the processor audio noise issue. Working now to resolve some ongoing errors and warnings as well in the event logs. If we can resolve this to be a stable unit for at least a week, I will go ahead and increase the review ratings. Sidenote: I purchased another unit from them (N150) for a Plex server about 6 months ago and that one has been running great to date. This is why I opted to get this more powerful unit from them this time. Update3: After spending some more time updating drivers, settings, etc... it seems to be running more reliable now. This included complaining to microsoft about windows11 lack of self healing technology. The unit still has many warnings in the event log, mostly dcom. A day later i received (what appeared to be) a targeted update to the system that sounded like it would provide enhancements in that area. Bottom line... Its been more stable for 3 days now so I updated the rating as the performance of this computer is awesome for my use. I didn't give it 5 stars yet because i'm still strying to figure out why it is more sensitive (than my other computers) to processor noise on audio with my multi system setup and i need to see more stable performance over time for me to feel comfortable that there aren't any other underlying issues. GMKtec agreed to extend my warranty and I appreciate them working with me on the issues.

(K12 - Ryzen 7 H 255) Great value, exceptional hardware and connectivity
This is specifically for the K12 with the Ryzen 7 H 255. Honestly, not a bad deal. The CPU is pretty good for its class, and has very acceptable integrated graphics. The H 255 is seemingly only sold to the chinese market, has no real documentation officially (as of the time of writing), and is essentially a recycled die from better chips that didn't meet the cut so to speak (at least as far as I can find), but I don't see any of those as a real problem; die recycling is perfectly fine if it actually works and is stable, and AMD is usually pretty good at the latter... and it makes me feel a little better that AMD can save something that would otherwise end up being e-waste. Despite the borderline unofficial nature of the CPU, I have not experienced any performance issues, instability, or crashes of any kind after a few weeks. Note that I updated the BIOS and microcode immediately after receiving the unit, and I suggest everyone do the same. The unit itself is from GMKtec, which is a chinese company. However, there were some (good) surprises in the box that tells me they actually cared about the end user experience, though possibly only just enough to make sure that the average joe blow didn't immediately return it because they got pissed off at something that would honestly be Microsoft's fault (eg. the horrendous OOBE for Windows). I choose to believe they actually care though, and somewhat reinforcing that, my email to them was answered the next day (I'll get to what the contents of that was later). The specs of the unit, aside from the CPU which is pretty good itself, are actually darn incredible. OCuLink is a quasi-rare connector, but an *extremely* welcome one! That significantly improves the unit's lifespan and enables mostly modern gaming, provided you genuinely do the research into how to use it (remember, don't plug or unplug it when the PC is on!), though it can already handle light-medium gaming with just the integrated graphics. Though I have not tried the OCuLink port yet, I have no reason to believe it doesn't work or anything like that. USB4 is also extremely welcome, and I can confirm that it not only works, but it follows best practices of how to implement the protocol. Since the port does do PCIe tunneling, it should work with all Thunderbolt 4 appliances out of the box. GMKtec could have taken the cheap way out and omitted this detail, but they did not. Absolutely incredible to have both of these available. There are also, seemingly (I have not opened the unit up yet, no reason to), three M.2 slots, one at Gen4x4 and two at Gen4x2, which is perfectly fine in terms of speed and great in terms of how many slots they offer. I cannot think of any other mini PC with this level of overall connectivity. You lose out on some external USB connectors that would otherwise be present, but USB4 seriously more than makes up for it. The dual 2.5G LAN ports are just the whipped cream on top of all this. Though, not all can be as good. There is no S3 power state support in the firmware, so you're stuck with shutting down the computer, hibernating it, or relying on Microsoft's absolutely abysmal "implementation" of sleep in the form of modern standby (S0). This was confirmed in my aforementioned email to GMKtec's support. Oh well, I have the whipped cream but miss out on the cherry. This may be an oversight on GMKtec's part, but it may also be difficulty getting S3 implemented with OCuLink. Don't know exactly how that works. I'm tempted to knock a star off for this, since S3 is a very, very nice power state to have available, but it's something I'm personally not terribly concerned about, especially with everything else so good. Please, if you're reading this GMKtec, add it in a BIOS update! Would love to see it! There may also be an issue with the TPM, specifically in regards to when the firmware tells the OS to initiate S0 sleep (eg. from the power button short pressed). In such an event, when the computer resumes from S0 the TPM will either fail or lock up. This may be an issue with Windows, or with the TPM, or with just my unit, and it requires a reboot to clear it up. Either way, my way around it is to leave the unit turned on or to just shut it down, but again it's not a concern for me personally, and YMMV. Overall, I would recommend this unit. Though I have not opened it to inspect the internals, nor tested the OCuLink connector yet, I see great value in this unit, and I imagine I will keep it around for a very long time, getting significant usage out of it. I would give it 4.5 stars if that were possible, but for Amazon I will leave it at 5.

1 star Bad SSD 3/24, 4 to 5 star updated review 4/18 .
EDIT - 4/18 Things seem to work well now, also I was not able to get Debian installed but I think Ubuntu Mint was working ok. Marvel Rivals when hard to compile shaders and crashed when started with a ton of crap in the background but after a reboot was running at 40% CPU, 80C and was too busy playing to catch GPU temp/usage. Ran very smoothly but I would guess 45-60fps tops. So this seems to be a great device for my needs. You probably won't run Cyber Punk on Ultra here but I have heard you can host a private WoW server with 500 bots running as well as run 3 different browsers with 1 running YouTube/Prime movies and another running Twitch and the system utility stays at about 40-50% CPU usage and 70-80% RAM usage on a 32 Gb Ram machine, CPU hit's 65-70C and GPU hit's 55-60C. No issues with lagging components unless it is internet/waterfox related. I will try out Marval Rivals and a few other FTP games and update this in a month ish. I will also try to grab power consumption a little later as well I just had a super customer service experience(see below) that was in touch multiple times through out the issue so wanted to provide feed back now. I have another mini AMD PC and I highly recommend installing the AMD Adrenalin software as I had Video issues on my other system before installing the updated CPU drivers. I did install that when first getting the system and have not had the same video issues(also stopped getting video issues on the other system so I put that on bad initial drivers from AMD). PREVIOUS ISSUES I have no clue if it works. Came with a bad SSD. Customer service is pretty responsive but "Estimated delivery time: 8-13 working days." so I have 2 to 3 weeks before I know if the product works. Going to order a replacement SSD and will install Linux on it to make sure it functions and everything seems to work ok.

Competente e compacto
