50's Retro Style Personal Blender with Backlit Knob and Two 600 ML BPA Free bottles PBF01PBUS Pastel Blue

Love the retro look of this blender and find the smaller profile a good fit in my kitchen. Quick and easy to whip up morning protein smoothies. Blender works well with protein powders but it did not completely blend up fruit. I appreciate having two blender bottles w/ lids that allows both of us to have our smoothies ready to go. It is a good personal blender and works well for making protein drinks.

Purchased this item in October 2025. It’s now January 2026 and it has conked out. Chopped things maybe 6 times. Otherwise, used it to blend protein powder and milk. Not impressed. Guess I should have bought a Ninja. Thought SMEG was a better product. Sadly wrong.

Nice looking blender. Small and compact. I use it daily for blueberry smoothies. It is a bit noisy but easy to use. Kind of pricey.

It looks great but… it is not very good at mixing items in your shake. Blades are tiny. You’ll need a spoon to stir it a few times in between the process. And the push down safety feature is weak. You have to struggle many times to get the machine to engage. There is a sweet spot to press down and once you figure it out it’s a bit better (but still a pain in the butt). Poor design as far as I’m concerned. Also, the chamber where the plastic cog is can get dirty fast and there is no way to easily clean it without water. But the water goes into the machine. I don’t think that’s good for it but you cannot get a cloth around some of the plastic points. So, my question to Smeg is, how the heck do you clean the inside chamber?? Again, poor design. Otherwise the machine looks great! Just not what I expected for $160… I’ll use it until it’s utter junk, then I’ll toss it and get something more practical. Sorry Smeg.. but this is a fail. :( UPDATE: 2 weeks after last review the machine died… emailing Smeg for support. We will see how they handle this. Not cool Smeg… not cool.
