The reason to buy this machine is because it has AC/DC function, I use it to weld thin aluminum, it can achieve high-end and professional results, the current reaches 200A, it runs stably on 220-240 volts without any question! It also has a pulse function and all settings are highly adjustable for easy starting of high frequency and high voltage arcs. There was enough foam inside the package to protect it, no parts were damaged, OK! It also came with everything you need to get started - some consumables for the TIG torch, tungsten wire for the torch, gas hose, grounding clamp, torch, Welding rods, etc. I am very happy with this purchase, it will not let you down as long as it is cared for properly. I think it's one of the easiest AC/DC machines to set up if you have some basic knowledge. Have used the machine for about 40 hours so far testing and welding parts and at least a few bottles of 300ml argon, I will continue to use it for welding turbo pipes, stainless steel headers, air intakes Etc, I'll update my review if there are any issues.

On this price range you will no get anything better. Only thing to see is longevity. Seller should be accesible. Instruction could be better.

To start with, I will confess that I am a beginning AC TIG welder but I have pretty good experience doing MIG and DC TIG welding prior to getting this Hzxvogen unit. This build quality of this unit is low-mid grade with relatively thin sheet metal and my unit arrived with several scratches on it despite not appearing to be from transit damage. All that is fine with me since I mainly got this to learn AC TIG on in my garage so appearance isn't a big issue for me if the rest of the unit worked better. This welder has all of the common adjustments available on an AC/DC TIG welder which is great. Your flow, ramp, and pulse times are all adjustable along with your AC balance. The negative to having all of this adjustability though is that this welder has no ability to save settings within the unit and every time it is power cycled it resets to default settings; some of which make little/no sense like 0 sec of post flow. So you will always have to go through and set every single setting every time you turn the unit on which is frustrating. Just leaving the unit running in order to keep your settings active throughout a project is also not a great option because the cooling fan for the unit runs constantly and is loud as a jet engine. Another surprise with this unit is that despite being a dual voltage unit, it only comes with the attached 220V power cable. If you want to run on 110V you will need to buy your own 5-15P cable adapter. This adapter is included in basically every other dual voltage welder for sale online so I'm shocked that Hzxvogen chose to leave this out of this kit. My last dislike about the unit is that the gas inlet on the back of the unit is just a hose barb and not a threaded connector to use with a standard gas hose that comes with almost all regulators for welding gases. Now all of those negatives aside, this unit does weld acceptably for a person who wants to learn AC TIG welding on aluminum. In DC mode, the arc stability is fair but a little less stable compared to my other DC only TIG machine. I don't have a baseline to compare the AC arc against but I've been able to lay down some beads while I practice more and more to get the hang of AC welding. It's hard to be too picky though for the ~$500 price at the time of writing this review (with a coupon offer).

I should be clear from the start that I'm a beginning welder, so I have little to compare this machine to. However, I've found that I was easily able to get it up and running. The controls, if not entirely intuitive, are at least easy to understand, and everything seems well-made. Admittedly, of course, the quality of my welds is not what it could be, but I have no reason to suspect the fault lies in the machine nearly as much as in my own inexperience. The machine itself seems to be doing exactly what it's supposed to do.
