Fantastic vacuum!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 StarsFantastic vacuum! I was honestly impressed by the power and performance. After buying and returning three vacuums from another brand because the battery life was terrible, this one turned out to be the best choice. The suction is very strong, it's lightweight, easy to use, and works great on floors, carpets, and even in the car. If you already have DeWalt batteries, it's an excellent value. The only thing I would recommend is using a good-quality battery to get the best performance and runtime.Highly recommended!

Great suction power for a cordless vacuum
This product is a direct copy of a Dewalt Model #DCV501HB 20v vacuum for about 40% less money. It is made to fit different tool brand batteries and comes in colors corresponding to the intended battery maker. Red = Milwaukee, Blue = Makita, Yellow = DeWalt. On its own merits, it comes with a nice variety of USEFUL attachments and enough wand extensions to be used as a standing floor vacuum. My use is for cleaning small messes like dog kibble, spilled cereal, firewood bark and dirt around the fireplace, and general crumbs and dog hair. It does a great job around the house and in my cars. I used it recently to clean my minivan from front to back. Its the "dog car" now that my kids are grown. Plenty of Christmas tree needle, dog hair and wrappers from candy and crackers. It sucks eveything up and does a great job on carpet using the brush attachment. Some of the hair is tough, but the brush bristles at least got the hair into a pile that i pulled out of the fibers and let the vac suck that up. It lasted thru the van and a midsize SUV on a 3ah battery ( about 30 mins). I have other milwaukee powered vacuums and this one is excellent. It doesn't have the power of my genuine Milwaukee wet/dry vac, but its smaller form factor and one hand operation are better. This is an excellent product and I would buy it again.

Trips Milwaukee battery's warning lights
Functionally, it works. But you shouldn't buy one of these, at least not for Milwaukee batteries, as it exceeds the specs for the batteries. As soon I run it, if I then press the battery-charge-level button on the battery, it flashes. Milwaukee doesn't share the meaning of the error codes, but I think it's a pretty safe bet that it's drawing more current than the batteries are designed to handle. Vacuum cleaners are kinda famous for pulling a lot of current as they spin the motor up. Given that the batteries cost more than the unit, you'll be better off paying for one that has a proper current-limiting startup circuit.Beyond that, note that the seller claims it's "protected by a US Patent". That's true, it is. But the patent they cite is a "design patent", which just covers the look of the thing. So all that patent tells you is that nobody else is going to be able to legally sell a vacuum that looks just like this one. It doesn't tell you that the workings of it aren't infringing on somebody else's patents. If you don't mind chancing the battery light, it works pretty well for most things, but I got it specifically to help pick up some of the crumbs from the composite decking that I work on. For that, it struggles because the hose outflow is very close to the filter, so these crumbs (which are long and stringy) clog up quickly. Emptying out the bin is not really a hassle, unless you're having to do after 30 seconds of vacuuming, like I was. If it's just sawdust or something, it'll not clog up like that, so YMMV.Finally, this thing works okay on the less-expensive "Compact Power" battery line from Milwaukee (used in drills, for example), but it runs a whole lot better on the high-output batteries designed for circular saws. But given those batteries start at $150, it's not gonna get another taste of mine.

Definitely recommend
Absolutely love this. Lightweight, strong suction, good for hard-to-reach places. I do not have carpet, so I don't know how it would work there, but it's great on wood floors and on upholstery. I used to have a far more expensive, cordless vacuum from another well-known company, but my floors wore down the plastic wheels (which were not replaceable), and it became virtually useless after 2 years. The suction on this one is far better out of the gate, and I've been using it for a couple months now.It goes through a battery fairly quickly, but I have a lot of Makita batteries, so it's not a problem for me. I can get most of the house vacuumed on one charge. A second battery gives me more than I need.Overall, really pleased with this product.

Great suction, but have a bunch of fresh batteries on stand by
Four stars only because this monster burns through batteries like nothing I've ever used before.First of all I have to say that the suction power on this little guy is AMAZING!!! This portable vac has more suction than most house vacs or shop vacs I've owned, so I'd give it a solid five stars on the suction.But...the real killer is that if you plan on running this vac for any period of time you better be sure to have a host of batteries charged up and on stand by. This thing will kill a 8Ah batter in 5 minutes, TOPS!! So don't plan on cleaning your car or vacuuming your workshop floor in a single pass, unless you have multiple high Ah batteries charged and ready to swap out. I also noticed that with the brush attachment if you use a combing or up and down motion say on artificial turf the first connecting tube rocks loose pretty easily so I found I had to keep pushing it back on to keep it from falling apart. Not a big deal, but when you're racing against time before the battery dies, every second counts. If this thing had a corded option for longer run time it would be awesome!

Good tool but one piece fell off had to glue back.
This item seems very useful around house. However fairly soon after using one piece broke off. I had to glue it. it wasn't attached too well. After gluing I'm still using the item though seems ok.

Don't Buy Makita
Brilliant piece of kit. I have had mine for nearly a year and I have to order another one as my wife has taken' ownership ' of mine. Bought to replace a Makita Stick Vacuum and it is in a completely differant league for way under half the cost.I wanted to leave it this long before I wrote a review to see haw it faired and it is as good today as the day I bought it.
