18m Greenhouse Glazing Rubber

I ordered this back in June as I wanted to replace all the glazing rubber on the roof of our large aluminium green house prior to sealing the glass panels in with silicone sealant (was fed up with the recent strong winds getting the better of the panels on the roof). After stripping the roof of it's glass and thoroughly cleaning all surfaces ready for the new rubber, I wanted to make sure the fitting was as easy as possible as I had noticed other reviewers saying that the fit was very tight. Luckily, I had the sun on my side and it was nice and warm on the day, but to make sure things went smoothly I first did a quick measure of each frame section and cut the rubber to size prior to soaking it, you will understand why I did this when you see how the product arrives! Let's just say that a 18m pile of fresh rubber stuck together could give you a major headache if you tried cutting/fitting it as one piece. So after cutting all required pieces to size I then put the lot into a washing up bowl of hot water with a little washing up liquid added, left that for 15 minutes then started to fit. I will be honest and say that it is a tight fit but then once on you know it won't move! With the help of my son we had the entire roof frame fitted with the new rubber seals in under 90 minutes and I really believe that we only achieved this due to the hot water AND the all important washing up liquid (agitated and foamed up a little before hand). Tip: Maybe obvious; but start with the rubber at the top of the frame and work downwards as the warm soapy water will then run down the frame as you apply the rubber acting as a lubricant. The end result was a good solid foundation for the glass which is key if you don't want problems further down the line, and now the silicone sealant is applied I feel the green house roof is ready for most all strong winds (*fingers crossed*). So all in all I'm very pleased with the product, yes it's a tight fit but that means that it won't move around on the frame, also it doesn't deform when you fit the glass like some others so is a good base for an install that you can feel reassured about. For the price I'd highly recommend this, but please do consider using the hot soapy water - your sanity will thank you!

This is a perfect fit for my Halls 8x6 greenhouse. Needed 3 x 18 mtr altogether. Once the old brittle rubber has been removed clean any debris with wire wool if stubborn. When installing new rubber use a sprayer with dishsoap and water solutions. I learnt the hard way.

I would have given this 5 stars except for the way it was coiled and bundled in the packaging, meaning that there were segments that were really twisted and squashed making those segments difficult to put on. I bought this to replace the missing/perished rubber on a 6ft x 6ft second hand Halls greenhouse. I would need about 40m in total to do the whole thing but I am going to reuse some of the existing rubber. It is perfect for the job (except for above fault) and it arrived promptly.

Good quality product, just what we needed for our greenhouse. Delivery was delayed but nothing the supplier could do about that it was despatched quickly. Will use them again for certain.

Glazing greenhouse/ difficult to fit

Found it easy to fit after I was told to rub washing-up liquid to the metal edges of the greenhouse.

8x6 greenhouse, so ordered 3 packs, did the job very well, reomoved every pane for cleaning, fitted the new seals with the aid of a small amount of washing up liquid in a water spray. easy as anything. just make sure you clean the frame edges with a bit of emery or like. had a small piece left over, about 2ft.

Not much to say, glazing rubber for greenhouse did the job well!

Ich habe lange nach den passenden Dichtungen für mein Gewächshaus das ich nach 15 Jahren neu aufgebaut habe gesucht. Dieser Hersteller ist der einzige gewesen der genau die richtige im Angebot hatte, ich bin mit der Qualität zufrieden und die Scheiben sind wieder fest drin.

Nous avons découvert une souris dans notre cuisine qui, selon nous, est montée à l'étage. J'ai réussi à attraper celle-ci dans un piège sans cruauté et à la relâcher dans un bois loin de la maison sous le couvert de l'obscurité mais, comme j'avais entendu des grattements dans les murs, et ce n'est jamais qu'une seule souris, j'ai utilisé ces répulsifs. J'ai également fait le tour des murs et des contours de tout l'étage et j'ai bouché tous les trous avec de la laine d'acier. À ce stade, j'ai découvert que ma salle de bain ressemblait à une passoire et je n'avais jamais remarqué cela auparavant, ce n'est pas une chose à laquelle on pense, n'est-ce pas ? Pourtant, au moins, cela devrait également éloigner les araignées maintenant. J'ai utilisé le pack de 6 répulsifs. Après trois semaines, nous n'avons plus remarqué de grattements dans les murs et aucune autre observation de rongeurs, donc je pense que nous sommes maintenant débarrassés des rongeurs :) Je les recommanderais à tous ceux qui ont besoin de garder les rongeurs sous contrôle. Excellent produit.

Habitant dans un chalet en pleine campagne, j'avais du mal à empêcher les bestioles de venir partager mon espace, mais pas mon loyer ! Devoir retirer environ 30 cloportes par jour est devenu une habitude, j'ai donc dû trouver un moyen de les empêcher de s'installer dans presque toutes les pièces du rez-de-chaussée de ma maison. Comme j'ai un chien et des chats, j'avais peur que les pouvoirs leur fassent du mal s'ils étaient mangés, alors j'ai trouvé ces derniers comme alternative. Ils fonctionnent à merveille. Je peux trouver un ou deux cloportes en train de se nourrir ces jours-ci, ce que je peux gérer car ce sont des petites choses assez coopératives. Mais les autres ont compris le message et ont arrêté de venir sans y être invités. Je les recommande ! Branchez-les et laissez-les faire le travail. Pas de bruit, petits et non perceptibles lorsqu'ils sont branchés sur une prise de rechange. Bien fait et fait le travail

Faut l'acheter. Devrait acheter. facile à utiliser. J'ai reçu les répulsifs à ultrasons exactement un jour après la commande. La paire était très facile à installer, il suffit de les brancher ! Le jury ne sait pas si les appareils repousseront ou non les souris, mais jusqu'à présent, je n'ai vu aucune créature se précipiter !
