Interesting and unusual science earrings ideal for anyone interested in science and the natural world. Supplied in a gift box complete with a description of the image. A solution of citric acid was evaporated on a microscope slide to form crystals. By viewing these crystals using polarised light microscopy, amazing and interesting colours and patterns are seen. This is due to the crystals forming regular arrays and interfering with the light path to give the colours seen (no colours were changed using Photoshop). Earrings are printed onto one side of 0.5mm thick Aluminium (reverse side plain Aluminium finish) to give a lightweight and durable glossy and scratch resistant earring. Aluminium discs measure 16mm in diameter and are mounted on silver plated earring wires. Total length from top of earwire to bottom of disc 32mm.
