Great trail builder
Works great for trailer building and grubbing vegetation. Chops through roots with ease. Very sturdy.

A must have for land clearing and trail building
Great product! The length of handle is really a plus. Cleared a 20' grass & weed circle for a controlled burn with ease. I was sore, alot, but the tool worked great. Super for trail building. The rake side enabled clearing of ground vines and poison oak very well. I learned the hoe side is not an axe, it will not cut 1" roots, just shakes the crap outta the handle. It's clearly stated in the description; it's a hoe with a heavy-duty rake. Great for clearing land.

Lighter version of the Pro models
Between Prohoe Rogue 70HR 7" and 55HR 5.5" Hoe/Rakes the Gemplers 7" Steel Rake Hoe will serve, but is lighter duty, thinner steel, and does not come as sharp as do the others. The one I received needs a little TLC as the handle is not quite snug enough to avoid room for a piece of paper. If you need and can take the extra weight, value for money goes to Prohoe. Update: Post TLC this is a can do tool. Wide as the 70 and light as the 55. Plus its a fine tamper for an old trail worker.

Junk, support doesnt help
I bought this tool and it arrived on time. It came in a box with no packaging, masking tape as the only padding over the sharp metal edges which was a pain to remove. The metal was scratched. No problem, i had the tool and was ready to use it. Fast forward 15 hours of use. The handle snapped clean in two. I checked amazon's order for this to get support - the support link led me to their website. I sent them an inquiry with this picture an the amazon order number and I was simply replied that I ordered this through amazon so that I needed to handle this issue through amazon. Thankfully this is brand new (as far as ordering timelines go) so I am simply returning this for a refund and getting a mcleod from another company. If the tool is going to break and the support isnt going to help - no reason to pay more for this. buy cheap

It's very sturdy and not to heavy to work with.
I have only used the gamblers steel rake hoe once to clear out a thick row of monky grass. It worked great. The handle seems very sturdy. I am glad I bought this one. I know it's going to be used a lot in the gardens.

Great MacCloud tool for the price on the internet.
This is an amazing tool perfect for trail building. Iโm making mountain bike trails behind and around my house and this tool is essential. Makes moving dirt so much easier. Packing it down after for a good solid trail. Best purchase Iโve made in a long time.

Heavy duty
Super Stout rake/hoe. Definitely commercial grade. I use it in the forest for gold prospecting. Highly recommend this tool
