I’m so happy with it! I was secretly hoping for Alice, and I couldn’t believe my luck when I opened it and she was the one inside. Why are 16-year-old girls suddenly obsessed with this kind of thing again? I sold all her Sylvanian Families when she was 11—she swore she was “too old for that stuff.” Fast forward a few years, and now the shelves are full again… with these type of toys. She clearly loves this one—it’s got pride of place on her shelf like it’s the crown jewel of the collection. And of course, she’s turned them into some kind of emotional currency. “If you really loved me etc etc, you'd let me go out—look how cute my toy is!” Honestly, I think I’m being outsmarted by tiny plastic toys.
