Vivobarefoot Men's Primus Lite Knit Running Shoe

if you are trying to get into barefoot shoes these are right for you, they are a steal for this price and this model is not shown on the official Vivo website anymore. As someone who has owned Lems and a few other barefoot shoes (never the five individual toe slot Vibrams though lol) these are the most comfortable. I have gone through three pairs of these and am on my fourth now. I AM A SIZE 11.5/12 NORMALLY BUT iN tHESE I WEAR A SIZE 10!!! Be careful with sizing as they run very big. They can be used in the gym though lateral work will cause your foot to slide a bit, you will not be able to run immediately in these as your feet and calves will have to get stronger but they are amazing and lightweight and flexible shoes and honestly my go to for pretty much anything non formal as they are quite versatile. They look a little funky but not too bad and are suuuper comfortable

I honestly didn’t expect to like these as much as I do. The shoe has basically become my go to shoe on the weekends (my only days off lol). I’ve gotten so used to the flat, minimal feel and having room for my feet to actually move that I really don’t enjoy wearing traditional shoes anymore. That was a big Nike guy before, but once I found out about Vivobarefoot and tried them out, I was sold. They’re lightweight, comfortable, breathe really well, and work for pretty much everything I do. My feet sweat a ton and they are PERFECT!!!! Fair warning though: once you get used to wearing these, regular shoes start feeling like bricks on your feet 😂. Definitely expensive, but I wear them enough that they’ve been completely worth it. Starting to come apart after usage for 2 days. Pathetic quality for the price. Very disappointing.

Only tried them on briefly but they feel very comfortable to wear, they do run a touch larger than normal shoes and I assume it’s due to the larger toe box. I normally wear a 11.5-12 in everyday shoes but will have to return my vivo’s in 12 to get the 11s

This company baffles me. I am always a size 10 in all of these barefoot shoes from other companies and yet while these are perfect in width, they are almost an inch too long. If one had such a long foot then these would not be wide shoes. They at least seem to have done something about the big toe not causing the mesh upper in the toe box to prevent your big toe from going up into only mesh and not something firm to keep it in place. Also why on earth they would use a toxic substance for an insole is beyond me. Having polyurethane go up into your foot or so many blood vessels are and veins is just really odd. These look like great shoes if they fit and I suppose they are good value for the money considering they’re double the price on their own website, but they may need to make half sizes because these are just weird.

By far one of my most favorite shoe. I use them as my everyday shoe and everywhere I go. Especially if you set up your laces correctly, it shouldn’t be too much pressure on your feet even when I wore it for 12+hours.

Edit: 4 months after the initial review, I see the other product reviews are back, great! Separately and not great, I'm seeing the sides of the shoe peel apart after minimal wear (sub 100 mile wear and tear, these have mainly been used inside on a stationary bicycle after my review); see the second photo. Dropping to just 2 stars, I'd steer clear of these even at the sale price (which is sad, I really like the sole on these). ------------- Original review: There used to be more reviews for this listing, not sure what happened but at the time I’m writing this there are only 6 which feels strange. These are my second pair of Vivo’s and I knew my fit after trying them out in a store; the rep advised me they run big and sizing down was perfect and worked well for me. The main issue here that you won’t notice until you walk around in them a bit is the “pinch” - the swoosh section on the toes (see highlighted area in the photo) bends and rubs against the top of you toe/joint when you walk. This wasn’t noticeable in the store but man you feel it fast out and about. This is reported elsewhere online and there only seem to be a few solutions; tough it out until you get used to it, wear socks/thicker socks, and maybe adding some felt to the inside of the toe box (not sure how well that would work). I’m toughing it out for now but this really brought down a 4/5 shoe fast. Three other things to consider: 1) Some users report the sole by the toe coming unglued quickly, your mileage may vary 2) The ankle opening may not work for you, I like it and it fits well but this can easily run against your ankle the wrong way depending on the overall fit 3) The knit really isn’t that breathable, it reminds me of suede and on warm days you’ll feel it - this surprised me, I thought it would be more airy than it is Overall I recommend trying these from Vivobarefoots store for the 100 day money back guarantee, and if you’re getting them from Amazon don’t pay over $100 as the pinch issue makes these really not worth it at full price. I love the style and the sole but for me these are a 2.5 at best, they may be a better fit for you.

I've own many Vivos and have worn them exclusively for years. These don't feel like Vivos anymore. They aren't wide like the older pairs. When putting these against my old pairs, they are 0.75 in less wide. I don't know why they decided to do that, but it defeats the purpose of the shoe. The glue on the heel of mine right shoes always started to come off so the quality isn't as good as it used to be either. My previous pair, GeoRacer, lasted 3 years with running (pavement) and tennis. I don't suspect these would last half of that with the glue coming off so fast.

Das war mein erster Barfußschuh und ich bin wirklich begeistert. Durch den Wald damit zu spazieren, ist wirklich ein tolles Erlebnis. Durch die fehlende Dämpfung eignet sich dieser auch super für das Krafttraining. Bei der Größe muss man tatsächlich aufpassen. Ich habe 42,5 und die 42 sind immer noch zu groß. Mit Einlage und Fersenschutz passt es aber für mich. Die Schuhe sind auch super verarbeitet. Der Preis jedoch ist schon recht stolz.
