All you need is love.
A loving teenager's relationship which is abhorred by the town's people who are completely homophobic turns into a courageous love story between 2 young boys who share their lives with no guilt, in spite of the surrounding townsfolk who will do anything in their power to taint the boys relationship. The movie displays their courage in going ahead with their condemned relationship. An excellent movie, with superb acting, well worth watching.

Friendship, love and sadness
I liked how the movie was scripted to show love in varies ways and how the main characters found friendship which also developed into love.

Not Enough Visible Action
I like to see some functioning anatomy on my steamy and artistic movies. I scanned every thirty seconds and didn't find what I needed.

This LGBT film and its impact will probably remain my all-time favorite.
Fireworks, (originally titled “Stranizza d'amuri,”) is a thoughtfully produced 2023 Italian drama beautifully co-written and directed by Giuseppe Fiorello. The award-winning film is loosely based on the Giarre murders: the barbaric treatment, and the homophobic killing of Giorgio Giammona and Toni Galatola in the town of Giarre, Sicily on Oct 17, 1980. The two real-life lovers’ bodies were eventually found in a lemon grove, holding hands, with a single bullet hole in each of their heads. This tragic event, which went unprosecuted and disturbingly covered up, kickstarted the Italian Gay Pride movement. In this captivating and heart-gripping retelling, Giorgio and Toni’s names have been changed to “Gianni” (played by accomplished dancer Samuele Segreto, and “Nino” (played by theater actor Gabriele Pizzurro.) The innocent chemistry between the two is truly fireworks. A few viewers complained that it was too long and slow (as good foreign films often are), but I didn’t want it to end because I enjoyed the realistic character development and found myself watching it repeatedly, wanting to know more, marveling at the profoundness of love and courage of the two protagonists. The director couldn’t have chosen better actors: Samuele Segreto, in particular, is naturally gifted at portraying a variety of emotions and longing that can make all but the stoniest person fall in love with him.The scenery is glorious at times and the whole film is of exceptional quality. I even purchased the beautiful soundtrack. This LGBT film and its impact will probably remain my all-time favorite. It is gutting, as was the historically important true story it is based on, but the film truly shows the power of love in the face of adversity and homophobia better than any.
