While this package certainly provides convenience in setting up the perimeter, it is overpriced for what one gets.The wire support rods can be replaced with any similar non conductive material (bamboo garden stakes ~ fiberglass driveway markers). The spool of wire can be purchased at any hardware store for a few dollars and the metal clips to attach the wire to the rods are not really needed at all. Holes can be drilled in the rods to pass the wire through and secure them to the rods. Any metal rod can be used as a ground...perhaps even a straightened heavy duty wire coat hanger.All told, I spent less than $10 on improvised materials, returned this item and saved $18.00.Nuff said
