Review: LOW CARB HEARTS OF PALM LINGUINE PASTA. IT’S GREAT !! - For pasta lovers who are watching their carbs, Palmini Linguine is the perfect substitute. Low Carb (4g Net Carbs), Low Calorie (20 Cal) . Very few carbs and can add any type of sauce. Love it !!
Review: Best option to pasta. - This product worked. Nothing is like pasta but pasta, yet this held the sauce, was not mushy, and no real flavor. I rinsed as directed, did not heat them as putting the hot pasta sauce warmed them to the temp of the sauce. Used spaghetti squash, spirals zucchini and you could have eaten the entire pack for 60 cal and 4 gr carb, but one serving of the 3 in bag was plenty. Fantastic!!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this product be frozen?**
A: Dear Customer,

Thank you for purchasing Palmini the Hearts of Palm Pasta!

Indeed this product once opened can be refrigerated up to two weeks or frozen.

Best regards,

OA Foods

**Q: Is this more al dente or is it pretty soft?**
A: Straight from the packaging, this product is al dente, but the longer you rinse or heat, the softer it gets. While it is pretty taste neutral, there is a bit of the taste of the hearts of palm. If you're a fan of al dente and aren't turned off by the natural taste of the vegetable, give it a quick rinse, and have your chosen sauce already warm; then just a quick turn in the sauce over medium heat and you'll preserve that texture. If you don't mind softer textured pasta, heat a little longer and slower. I really like this product & hope you have good luck with it, too.

**Q: are the pouches shipped in an acid water like the cans --or are they drained noodles?**
A: They are shipped liked the cans, in an acid water to keep the product fresh and safe to consume.

**Q: Since i dobt see it mentioned, i assume this product is not organic, correct?**
A: The product is made from cultivated palm trees they harvest in a controlled environment. No mention of organic.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best option to pasta.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Paleo/Primal "noodle alternative" that's easier than shredding zucchini, and a better texture than shirataki noodles
*by F***R on April 13, 2018*

My hubby and I tried this last night after seeing it on Shark Tank a few nights ago. If you eat carbs and want a true pasta taste, this isn't it. But if you're looking for an extremely low carb and grain-free substitute that requires no prep-work, this is ideal. Granted, I did make a very hearty and flavorful sauce with ground pork, tomatoes, olive tapenade, sun-dried tomatoes and herbs so it would be hard to ruin that. Still, comparing it to zucchini or shirataki, this was much nicer. I simply rinsed the noodles well in a strainer. I see no need to soak them in milk or anything else. I tasted one on its own and it didn't have much of a taste to me. I didn't even think I liked hearts of palm. My husband who DOES like hearts of palm said it tasted like that to him when nibbled plain. I dumped the rinsed noodles into the heavy sauce to let the sauce flavor get absorbed. The texture (can't call it al dente, but like biting into a vegetable that's not quite firm), appearance and size was all nice. I plan to use this as a "noodle" with sauces like coconut milk and curry, tamari with Asian vegetables and such. I also think it would be a nice addition to homemade soups. I'm not sure if it would work with something as basic as butter with parmesan, but I wouldn't rule it out without trying it. Again, it's very neutral tasting. I'm rating it a 4* instead of 5* based on the high price. I'm hoping that it will come down now that two Sharks are involved. Also, be aware that the cans are labeled with two sizes - one with the water and one as a dry weight. So, the 14 oz size is really 8 oz and if you compare how much you'll eat to what you might eat in dry pasta, that's the best guide.
