The Moth Presents: A Point of Beauty: True Stories of Holding On and Letting Go

Great Read. Probably the best one yet!

I was expecting cleaner stories with a clear moral. The programs I listened to on my phone were well done--the ones in this book are a little sleazy--not something I will keep. It would be my preference to return the book, but I am taking it tot he thrift store instead. Maybe someone will appreciate it.

As a passionate fan of The Moth Radio Hour, I have read (and bought) all three of the transcribed story books. They are all excellent, with wonderfully moving stories. But this third in the collection is, in my view, the best so far. Story after story left me smiling, laughing, weeping, or just rapt in thought. I usually couldn’t read more than two stories a night, as I was just too moved to try a third. All three volumes are wonderful, but this third volume seemed to cover more of the difficult current cultural topics than the other two. Still, you can’t go wrong with any of them. I recommend buying all three, as I did. You won’t regret it.

Great gift

My bestie and I live in two different states. In 2020 we were getting together for a week-long retreat from very stressful circumstances. Another friend lent me her Moth book and my bestie and I did daily readings. It was great for discussion on our own lives, inspiration, soothing and more. Afterwards I bought each of us a copy and we continued with occasional readings by phone or daily when together. We’re now 2/3 through our third book.
