Ultimate Black Panther By Bryan Hill Vol. 1: Peace And War

Amazing start with T’challa being compelling for once in years. Recommend for true Black Panther fans so far…..definitely pick up.

This was absolutely a great read. The art compliments the story. This is a great setup tovthe story to come, the dialogue draws you in, the major players are introduced and the action keeps you engaged. I am definitely looking forward to what Mr. Hill has planned for T'Challa and Wakanda.

New world, new, and fresh story that was needed. I have Marvel unlimited but couldn't wait for this one. I will be getting the next issue

This sets the stage for the new Ultimates universe of Black Panther beautifully. Can’t wait to see where this story goes!

This is my first exposure to a Black Panther book, so maybe they’ve always been like this and I’ve just never known. But I am really enjoying the politics and intrigue of the throne, the various players inside and outside of Wakanda, and the set up for a massive conflict.

It leans heavily on marvel movie tropes, which isn’t really what I’m here for. Not my taste, others might like it.

I haven't been reading the current BP run because of all the heavy lore attached to the character and because it's coming off of a universally despised run that I don't want to deal with the baggage of. But with this book, we get a new start that you only need to read Ultimate Invasion and Ultimate Universe to fully grasp.This first issue is mostly set up with a lot of jumping around and it doesn't quite have the same punch as Ultimate Spider-Man. It's still an excellent read and a great place for aspiring Black Panther fans to jump in. Time will tell if future issues can follow-through with this issue's solid foundation.
