The basic functionality of turning on PS5 post power outage is missing. Hilariously, your PS5 only has to be in Rest Mode to let you play from Portal. Or else, go to the PS5, turn on and then play on Portal. I can do the same from PS Remote app as well then why would I need the Portal. This device is a joke on Sony.

The lag and the latency makes it almost unplayable. You have to be in the same room as the wifi for a somewhat smooth experience. If u go to the next room, it's unplayable. Good concept but something like this shouldn't even be released without further refinement.

The device looks and feels great; it's comfortable to hold and the screen delivers a crisp, bright image. However, the performance is disappointing, with frequent missed or delayed responses to button presses, and this makes gameplay frustrating. My home WiFi is usually very good for my gaming devices but in this case the experience is poor. I should say that my PS5 connects wirelessly to the router - which has been fine for online gaming - but I am going to try a cable connection (which will be a pain due to the distance!) and I am hoping that this will improve the situation.UPDATED 2 August 2024: Okay, I have now connected my PS5 to the router by an Ethernet cable and it has made a huge difference! Input controls now work perfectly on the Portal with no lag; it is now just like playing on the TV screen. I have upgraded my rating to five stars but I would suggest that - at least in my experience - connecting your PS5 to the router by cable is essential.

Fraîchement déballé, arrivé en moins de 24H après commande.La qualité du produit est simplement folle, en main c’est luxueux, ça sent le haut de gamme.À peine déballée, la première tentative de connexion a été un échec, ma ps5 non relié en filaire directement à la fibre ne fournissait pas un débit suffisant pour pouvoir connecter le portal.Après branchement en direct de la console j’ai retenté l’opérationLa connexion a été immédiate, la fluidité relativement incroyable, quelques petites latence relevée mais qui n’ont pas duréProche de la boxe, la partie en ligne a également été un succès avec aucune coupure.Un peu plus éloigné (2 barres de réseau sur 3), en ligne j’ai eu un beau lag, qui a duré 2 secondes environ avant que ça reprenne son rythme.C’est un test à chaud, mais la première impression et premier usage me confirme que j’ai bien fait de tester le portal et ne pas rester sur la connectivité via l’app remote.J’avais testé la manette backbone.
