I bought this and 3 phone case and still amazes me the quality and packaging of ESR. They standout. Detailed instruction and given a warranty. I would recommend this product. This is my personal view.

It’s awesome. I stuck it to the dash and it easily holds my large heavy Apple phone. This is the second one I have bought, to put into a different car. Extremely good value for money. Just be aware that it sticks so well it may be a problem removing it off a smooth surface later if you need to.

The magnet is super strong to the extent of using force to pull out the phone, the mount is easy to fix, and it gets hooked to the vent sturdily, the only problem that made me give 4 stars instead of 5 is that once the mount is hooked on the vent’s horizontal blade it won’t be possible to move the vent up and down but i can still move it left and right, so I fixed the horizontal blades in straight position and pulled the screw, and now I cannot shut down the specific vent, but this is okay because most of us move the vent left and right and not up and down, and any how there are still vents in the front that I can move, I think this would be more annoying to the front passenger than the driver when fixing the mount on the right central vent.

The product is totally amazing, first it gives you two options the first through fins of the air vent and second through a bracket glued to dashboard surface. The option of using the fins of the air vent is perfect in giving you the flexibility to try several positions in order to secure it to the fins which is not there in other products. when talking about ESR product for MagSafe, you are talking about the best magnets. It hold your phone perfectly secured in position. Easy to mount and remove your phone

Product is robust. Good magnetic grip on smartphones and no need for any additional magnetic accessories. Just plug and play makes it an amazing product.

Very poor quality. Tape lasted 3 days before it came off. Joints all became loose in 2 days of use. Avoid.

Very high quality product. The magnet is so strong paired with my ESR magnetic phone case I have to place one hand on the mount to remove my phone. Otherwise I worry the mount would just rip out my plastic vent. Great for people that keep their phone on the car for long periods, like taxi drivers, and off-roading on rough terrain, but the pairing is a bit much for an average road user tbh. Maybe I need to change the phone case.

There are four common method of securing a phone in a car: (1) Window suction mount, (2) Air vent clip bracket, (3) Adhesive mount, (4) Weighted dash non-slip mount base. I ended up choosing to use the air vent clip method because it worked better for our situation. POTENTIAL PROBLEMS — I was concerned about this category of mount design because I read various product reviews that mention the vent fins eventually breaking, bending, or being damaged. I notice that vent fins vary in thickness and strength depending on the vehicle. So, I took a bit more time researching available products and decided on this one because it seemed sturdy and the adjustable solid retainer piece seemed well designed. BETTER DESIGN — Something important about this vent mount design is that it has two solid supporting feet to keep the bracket stable, putting less strain on the vent fins. The retainer clip that goes in and holds to the back of the vent fin is easy to extend and tighten. BEST INSTALL — Based on concerns about vent fin damage, I've decided to gently position this mount so the stabilizer feet are in place, and the metal hook retainer gently holds to the back of a vent fin, but I do not tighten the bracket to the max. This is important during use, and also when removing the phone. Rather than pulling hard on the phone trying to separate it from the bracket, which could pull the vent fin assembly out of the dashboard, instead, I use two hands to have one and holding the base and the other pulling on the phone. The weight of the phone helps hold the mount secure. I'm not off-roading or driving over potholes, so I'm not worried about the phone shaking and the bracket falling out. MAGNETS — It's hard to know what the experience of others will be, but the phone I use with the mount is an iPhone 14 Pro Max, so it is a bit heavy. I use a case with an embedded strong magnetic MagSafe ring in the case. I also use a MagSafe magnetic ring holder that allows for pass-through functionality of the MagSafe magnet connection function. As a result, from my experience, my phone holds very securely to this mount. MAGNETIC PHONE HOLDER RING — My magnetic phone holder ring has a stowaway 360-degree adjustable holder ring/loop, so I'm able to easily attach and remove my phone from the holder. I do notice that my phone holder ring tends to stick more securely to the mount than to my phone, so when I remove the phone, the ring stays on the mount. Sometimes that's preferred, other times, if I want to bring the phone holder ring with me, I'll remove it and put it on the phone. CONCLUSION — Due to variations in automotive fan vent fin assemblies, and variation in phones, cases, and accessories, it's possible there's not one perfect mount for everyone's situation. Yet, this unit does seem stable and versatile.
