What charger do I need? Is one included?

This battery requires a LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) charger, and a charger is NOT included. Do not use a lead-acid charger — an incompatible charger can cause improper charging, trigger the BMS protection, or damage the battery.

Will this fit a standard 7Ah slot?

This is a compact, taller form factor (2.8 x 3.5 x 4.0 in), designed to replace smaller 12V 5Ah/6Ah SLA/AGM batteries — not the long standard 7Ah size. Please measure your compartment before ordering.

How is this better than lead-acid?

It weighs about one-third of a comparable lead-acid battery (1.65 lbs), lasts far longer (rated 4000+ cycles), and holds its charge while sitting idle — so it's ready when you need it, unlike lead-acid that often goes flat in storage.

Is this really 6Ah? How long does it last?

Yes. Multiple customers have verified the real capacity with capacity testers. Runtime depends on your device's draw.

I've only used lead-acid. Is lithium complicated?

Not at all. The main difference is the charger — use a lithium (LiFePO4) charger instead of a lead-acid one. Everything else is straightforward: same 12V system, lighter weight, longer life.
