These are not the ones like a C clip.These packs are marked SOFT RINGS and are complete rings made of something like silicone that I pop on every 20 sts when casting on. They are very thin so take hardly any space between stitches and are manufactured in three sizes - two sizes in each pack. I knit a couple of rows after casting on and in doing so I just flick the lightweight ring over from the left needle on to the right hand needle then remove them all once my knitting is properly underway. I can keep one ring at each side to show where the seam edges of the sweater would have been. Reaching armholes I then mark centre back and centre front with a ring each. They are very light and they bend.Identical rings are on sale (same colours too) and these look exactly the same but these are HARD RINGS made of plastic so you can feel them when they get near your fingers. They don't say that these are HARD RINGS on the pack it just says RINGS so if you want the SOFT RINGS for use with Symfonie needles or while casting on or ordinary knitting make sure you get the ones that say SOFT RINGS.I use the Hard rings when knitting Aran as their hardness signals to my fingers a pattern is coming up.
