Fireplace Doors - Black 42" Glass Doors - DM1042

This could not have been easier to install! I will add that reviews that stated that there was no branding or papers in the packaging may have missed the installation instructions at the bottom of the box under the doors. It clearly states the brand name Hearth & Home which is the maker of Heatilator fireplaces. I have the Heatilator EL42 which came with my home built in 2010/2011. These doors are made for this model and others. When I installed them it took about 4 mins which included time for me to clean the glass. I didn’t have to adjust them at all as they were a perfect fit but there are instructions which show that you can adjust them by tightening and loosening the screws on the pins. No handyman or husband needed here!

Great product! Purchased the adapter kit for our 1997 manufacture date fireplace directly from the seller and the doors fit perfect. Installation took about 30 minutes including fine tuning adjustments. Couldn't be more pleased with the quality and appearance of the doors.

Easy to install and looks great.

The person who I purchased my home from had had fireplace remodeled and had gotten rid of fireplace doors. Needless to say her handyman did a horrible remodel that was not up to code. The fireplace insert is a Heatilator Model E42. I looked on every fireplace supply sight and was amazed when I found the doors on Amazon. I am doing a remodel to make it pretty and bring back up to code specified by the unit manufacturer. The doors fit perfectly and were super easy for this gal to install.

Agree with most reviewers, packaged very well for shipping, 3 minutes to install 30 minutes to align! But the fact they come in plain brown cardboard bulk type packaging with no branding on them at all and not one piece of paperwork indicating brand or origin, I seriously wonder if these are a Heatilator brand product or not??!! I welcome a response from the seller. They work fine, the quality and assembly make me believe that they are cheaper Chinese knockoffs.

It’s great. It needs adjustment but that’s normal. It says clearly in the instructions that may be necessary. Ignore the reviews that say it doesn’t fit or won’t close. It’s adjustable. Awesome price! $350 cheaper than most other online suppliers, and my local fireplace store

Doors did not line up after install. I am returning

Installed to our EL42 in minutes. Initially the doors were not even as in Melanie’s description, but loosing two screws adjust the top mount for the left door, then tightening brought everything in alignment. This was not an issue with the doors. Construction appears quality. Operates easily, and performs its intended duties (preventing heat loss up flue).
