The media could not be loaded.  I fell in love with the Woodstock chime collection at a storefront, where I could listen to how they all sounded, individually and together. Each has its own tone and vibe and none are tinny and annoying... I realize "annoying" is subjective so unless you hate the sound of wind chimes in general, these are as close to perfection as can be.The Pluto chimes were within reach, budget wise, so they were the first to be ordered (and since Pluto is my favorite non-planet-planet, I am very happy with that decision). The black chimes are perfect against our black cabin and the Pluto chimes are the right size to hang anywhere you wish. The sound is subtle, gentle, peaceful and it doesn't take much breeze to make it happen. I bought these chimes months ago and they have held up beautifully in all of the elements. The Neptune chimes are my coveted chimes from this collection and that one is on my Christmas wish list as #1 want. Little by little... one by one.... I will collect each and every one of the chimes from the Woodstock planet collection.

There are so many Woodstock chimes to choose from that I had a hard time making up my mind as to the chime sound I wanted and the looks of the windchime itself. I visited the company's website first so that I could listen to all the Woodstock chimes that Amazon carries, ones I thought were both pretty and interesting looking. The Encore Chimes of Pluto had such a beautiful melody, full and rich, but not a deep sound nor a tinkly cheap one, either. Just perfect. So then I was torn between the bronze colored pipes and these in black. I was excited but still a little doubtful since these chimes are a little more expensive than I'm used to.Well, my chimes came from Amazon today and they are just gorgeous and the melody is simply perfect! I'm so very pleased with both the lovely dark wood finish of the chime top and clapper, and also with the black coating of the pipes. Having owned probably more than 25 windchimes over the years, these are the best quality and the most pleasing of any, both in looks and sound. I couldn't be better satisfied and plan to purchase another set later! I only wish I could give this item more than 5 stars!

I love the sound of these wind chimes. The were easy to hang straight from the box and I would recommend to others.

We purchased this for our two and a half year old daughter's gymnastics instructor as a Christmas gift. It was very well received when she opened it up a week before Christmas, at our daughters behest. Since, we have received even more positive feedback from the instructor about how beautiful they sound, and that, "every time she hears them, she thinks of our daughter". Very sweet. These chimes have great tone, beautiful pitch, nice wooden details, and strong strings.I think chimes make great gifts on a variety of occasions, for many different people in our lives. They typically are not political, ethnic, secular, or any other divisive concept. Over the years, we have gifted chimes to our relatives, accountant, as anniversary or wedding gifts, gymnastics instructor, and co-workers. Depending on the chime and occasion, you can spend as much or as little as you like.This is our second Woodstock Chimes purchase from Amazon and both have been great. I would however recommend searching Woodstock Chimes online, then going to their site for a neat feature whereby you can listen to all their different chimes. I've entered my Crone era. I want windchimes everywhere around my home! These windchimes are beautiful and sound lovely! Nice deep tones and they don't require a lot of wind in order to move. I highly recommend these!
