Q: Can I pull the cotton middle out of this braided cord?

I didn't try it this way but the cord is wound VERY tightly so I don't think so.

Q: Is this cord easy to make fringe with?

No, if you want to have fringe use a twisted cord not a braided

Q: some customers say they didn't get 5mm. Has this problem been fixed?

I bought this over a year ago but it was NOT 5mm. More like 3mm which-although the color is correct-didn't work for the project I was planning. I kept it to possibly use on a future project.
