It is heavy duty for defensive purpose. **Q: Can it take rechargeable C batteries?** A: Yes you can use rechargeable batteries but you will not have as much horsepower! Also, you will not have as much Time! **Q: I can't seem to find a good holster or loop for this, any recommendations?** A: One suggestion: Take the hammer loop on a pair of carpenter jeans and tighten that up to where that flashlight will fit through it tightly, but not fall through. **Q: Who sells a 3 pack of C batteries? You'd need to buy a dozen and hope for long shelf life.** A: Unfortunately, I seem to have to buy a multi pack and hope they last.
