This is a great little and inexpensive recorder that packs a lot of features, to include compatibility with several types of security cameras - even up to three network (IP) cams. Configuration was fairly easy with a well-written instruction manual - very rare these days. Image and video quality is excellent. Annke mobile app software also user friendly. This DVR was a replacement for a much older unit that finally gave out on me after 10+ years. Hoping the Annke lasts as long. So far, I'm very impressed.

Made a mistake and purchased a SANNCE unit first. The SANNCE worked as a DVR, but I had trouble with connecting it to my phone, which is just as important to me as the DVR recording. The Zosi also had network difficulties. Not only does this Annke device work with my existing cameras it easily connected to the mobile app. Additionally the software seems better overall. The user experience with their software is much better, the camera images actually appear more clearly and crisp than any of the other lower end Amazon DVRs I have tried. I guess the main lesson I learned is don't simply look at Amazon reviews. Dig one step deeper and look at the reviews of the mobile apps on the Google Play Store or Apple's App Store. If the mobile functionality is important to you, the mobile software is just as important as the firmware on the actual DVR.

I use my security cameras in the most basic way: "Autorun", to sequentially scroll through all of the cameras. This model (DT61BS) has 16 camera inputs and I have 12 cameras. It works flawlessly with my Q-See cameras, with a better image than the Q-See VCR on my 20 inch VGA monitor, however, there is no way to disable the 4 extra inputs so as not to show blanks. I find it hard to believe that such a basic feature isn't supported. On the other hand, customer support apologized and sent me 4 free cameras to fill in the 4 spaces.

Good afternoon I purchase this item which was delivered on march 2, 2026 . Since it has been installed it has never worked not even once , I am very disappointed. Michael

Installation was pretty simple if you are tech savy. Directions are not clear if you have no clue about computers or security systems. A hard drive can be mounted directly and there are screws in the box. I found out the hard way by buying a mounting kit for nothing and ended up returning it. Its nice that this set comes with a mouse, remote, a/c plug and cables. My only complaint is the software. Crap! IOS app is horrible and doesn't have a playback feature. The software on the device itself is also crap. Does the basics like viewing, but try editing, recording, and playback and you may find yourself in a dilemma or wasting time. I think the software on the Swann is better, but their hard drives fail often. With this box, you have more options, but the software is just not that great.

I was quite surprised at how much i liked this DVR. This is my 3rd DVR and the first from Annke. The setup was easy as usual. installing the HDD was easier then others. They have the slide in screw spots so you didn't have to purfectly line up the holes blindly. The android app was very well put together and impressive, but the windows desktop app was amazing. So much control from my office without having to go to my network closet on the other side of the house. I can do everything, pulling video was easy as my last one was horrible trying to get video on a specific date. Very much recommended.
