BH55PRO-240V: the 55 gallon Barrel and drum heater from Powerblanket offers a state-of-the-art heating system that is far superior to band heaters, which localize the heat to only one spot. The Powerblanket drum heater encases the entire drum in a heating blanket, insulating the entire drum and distributing the heat across the entire surface. The BH55PRO-240V drum heater only requires 800 Watts to power it. It is water resistant, and can be used on poly and steel drums. Our Pro Series drum heaters come equipped with a digital thermostatic controller. This means you can set the temperature to the desired level and leave it at that, with no concern for over or under heating your drum contents. With the Pro Series you can go anywhere from ambient temperature up to approximately 145 °F/63 °C. The BH55PRO-240V drum heater is very easy to install, and is competitively priced. It is also ETL certified to UL & CSA safety standards. Review: Worth the Money - I was hesitant to buy this heating blanket, mainly because of the price, but after having several bad experiences with band heaters burning my honey, I had to give it a try. Right out of the box I was impressed with the quality. The blanket was fairly heavy and the vinyl outside was very durable. It was a little difficult to manage by myself, but it wasn't too bad. The buckles and straps to attach it to my drum seemed to be really high quality, and I was able to cinch it up pretty tight. I got it plugged in and going pretty quickly, but didn't really notice a difference immediately. I set the temp on the controller and left it overnight. The next morning I was really impress with how even the heat was distributed. The band heaters I used before would have started burning by now. It took another day to get the whole drum heated through, so if you are wanting a quick heating solution, this might not be the best option, but if you have time, you won't be disappointed. Even though this was more expensive than other options, the fact that I won't have to worry about burning my honey anymore is worth every cent. I will be buying more.
Review: Company doesn't stand by the craftsmanship or products - This blanket worked great for a 14 months used a total of 1000 hrs at 100 degrees to heat up honey.then half the blanket went out called powerblanket company and the said it only had a one year warranty bassically sorry for you luck. So I bought a cheaper model which I hate so I decided to cut it open to see if I can fix it myself made a quick video of it found out it was a manufacturer defect a fold in the heating elements even sent video to powerblanket they still wouldn't make it right or stand behind there product. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE never buying from this company again. Dont was your money

I was hesitant to buy this heating blanket, mainly because of the price, but after having several bad experiences with band heaters burning my honey, I had to give it a try. Right out of the box I was impressed with the quality. The blanket was fairly heavy and the vinyl outside was very durable. It was a little difficult to manage by myself, but it wasn't too bad. The buckles and straps to attach it to my drum seemed to be really high quality, and I was able to cinch it up pretty tight. I got it plugged in and going pretty quickly, but didn't really notice a difference immediately. I set the temp on the controller and left it overnight. The next morning I was really impress with how even the heat was distributed. The band heaters I used before would have started burning by now.
