BEAMSHOT Trim is a multifunction laser system that emits visible and Infrared laser points as well as a focusable Infrared illuminator. The TRIZM IR laser and IR illuminator can be used covertly with night vision equipment. The visible laser (available in Green or Red) is excellent for sighting in on and designating targets when actively engaging. Visible and Infrared aiming point lasers share the same tool-free windage and elevation adjustments while offering precise pin-point weapon aiming and target acquisition. The Infrared illuminator with a focusable function can offer target area illumination under any light condition. The IR illuminator also works with tool-free windage and elevation adjustment to precisely co-align with the laser dot.

A solid, tank of a unit that works reasonably well, but...
I've been infected with a chronic, terminal strain of the Night Vision virus. It's a horrible disease that compels you to expend a disproportionate amount of your discretionary (and perhaps not-so discretionary) income in the foolish pursuit of turning night into day. If you hunt at night -- hogs, coyotes, etc -- quality NV and thermal tools make all the difference in the world between the successful extermination of feral and predatory species, and potential loss of crops and / or livestock.Enter the TRIZM-GL (hereafter, "TGL"). The TGL, on paper at least, looks like a potential contender to far more expensive offerings, like the DBAL-D2 and other all-in-one illumination and pointing combo devices, and it does indeed come with all of these features. Two of the three touted features work every bit as well as a DBAL or PEQ-15 (I have both and directly compared them), and even the TGL illuminator can be focused down to what passes as a good, "full-power" IR laser, believe it or not. Unfortunately, it's when you use the illuminator as it was intended that it falls short. It's underpowered and, at least in the unit I received, was also very asymmetrical (i.e. it was not a nice, round flood of illumination). I'd say, if it were symmetrical, it would be good for 100-yards at the absolute most **when used in conjunction with modern Gen 3 "Pinnacle" NV devices**(!). Don't even think about using the TGL illuminator with Gen 1-2 NODs, it's simply not strong enough. The IR and visible green lasers are plenty powerful enough, and seem to hold zero well, but at the $795 price tag it's nowhere near the quality of a genuine LDI DBAL or other quality manufacturer. These TGL's seem to be very similar in quality to the $300 Chinese GP devices you see here and at other place around the interwebs. So, if Beamshot would HALVE the current price, I'd give the TGL a VERY strong recommendation, but at its current asking price, there is no way in hell I would ever recommend this device to anyone. It's big, bulky, heavy, and the switches are, for lack of a more accurate description, *poor*.All in all a decent effort with real promise. I'm hoping version 2.0 will fix the illuminator and the switches. If they can accomplish that, they'd have a real winner on their hands. Everything else works very well, and it's sad that this could really be a competitive offering if they'd just fix those two torpedoes in the water that keep this from being a reasonable alternative to the "big boys" in this market. Failing that, a $299 price tag would do wonders for sales, because there is no universe in which $795 would be considered a reasonable price for a unit of this pedigree.

do not buy this!!!!!!!!!
cheap Chinese manufacture is clear one the switches stop working. vis laser switch wont work and strobe works but only when the switch is played with and in the wrong position. laser is also weak compared to good lasers. just dont buy this.
