Powerful and quiet
I am comparing this to my icecap 1k on another tank. This is more powerful and Much quieter. I am very satisfied with the performance and I will be replacing the icecap 1k with one of these. Very cost effective and simple to use.

was ok
I bought this to replace two (2) Jebao circulating/wave maker pump in my 40 gal breeder mix tank. The first one came but wasn't working right so I contacted Amazon for replacement. So I've got the replacement and installed it in my tank after testing it in a tub of water.First, it was an easy installation. It is a no brainer installation and programming. Have it positioned at the end side of my tank where my inflow from sump is coming in. Setting is at almost 50% and it blew my sand on the other side. After few days moved it in the other side opposite from the inflow and it seems ok on that side. So far it is set at around 75%, with 50% pulsing speed on W1 and I feel like it is not making enough water movements in my tank. SPS plops may sway a little but the anemone looks like it just sitting there without any flow to make it dance. Noise wise, I have noticed that once you are past 75% you'll hear some humming sound but lower than that it is quiet. Magnet hold it super. I haven't tried cleaning it not opening it yet so I can't comment on that part.To sum it up, it is an ok toy for your tank but if you want a big movement underwater, I can't suggest this one. The rest is ok except on the water movement.

Two weeks in and it works great. I run it between 30-50% on my 75g saltwater. I was able to remove a power head rated 525gph and still double the flow. I use the feed mode more than I though I would. However the wave modes are not great I use the constant mode as the wave pulses are so close together I worry it will wear out motor fast. I already had a sand sifting starfish loose 1 and a half limbs to this. Did not damage the paddles though it made funky noises and barely ran until cleaned and starfish was removed. The starfish survived going over a week now and continues to climb the glass and jump off at the top confirming he is an adrenaline junky. The other two larger sandsifters I have stay mostly in the sand. The pump itself I keep about 4-5 inches from water level. I get real gyre flow through the entire tank and don't have any detritus build up on my rocks/sand. It's a heavy stocked and over fed fowlr tank. Between my starfish, conchs and this flow my sand never needs cleaning though my glass needs it weekly with bi weekly water changes. Wish the wave modes were a lot better so I could get a second unit on opposite side and run both on/ left only / right only/ both off cycle. Also mine doesn't run reverse in any modes.

It broke right at the 30 day return window
The gyre was used for a frag tank and it died 2 days after the 30 day return window and about 27 days after setting it up. It was noisy and made it sound like a light house fog siren was going off in the distance, but it was just some annoying hum, didn’t matter, knew it was cheap, but it was working. If I got to replace these every month then I may as well just spend the 500$ For the “other brands.”This is insane that it would break in less than 30 days, really frustrated that I can’t do a thing about it either. That’s what really bothers me about this whole deal, now I got a low boy with 4 small wave makers to make up for this pump, and I really hate all the damn cables!!

18 Months in and still going strong
For the price, you can't beat it. I've had this in a 40g breeder for 18 months and with a good cleaning every couple of months, it's as good as the day I got it. I have this with a Jebao SLW-30 Compact running at about 25% and it's great for all my acros.

Stray voltage
Product leaked stray voltage into display tank. By the time I realized it was this wave maker, the 30 day window was up. May have to buy several units before you get a good one.

Worth the money
The pump is awesome I have a 55 gallon reef tank I started of around 20% and gradually increased to 50% with a couple week span. My fish love it and my corals love the flow. All the functions on it work so well way better then power heads in my opinion.
