Great Drill! No need to look further.
Wow!Adding to my IR collection, I replaced two Craftsman 19.2V drills with this guy. Once I pulled it out of the box, I new I had made the right decision. This is so far beyond the quality of the Craftsman cordless drills, that I can't even begin to explain it.First thing I noticed in using it was the available power. The torque this put out is incredible! You do need to take care when drilling through metal to either put it into low gear, or engage one of the clutch settings.. because if you have this in high speed, full drill mode and the bit binds, you will either break the bit or twist the sh** out of your wrist!Weight is a little heavier than other cordless drills that I've used (dewalt, milwakee, craftsman) but that is due to higher quality material being used. Still within acceptable range for this type of tool. The only issue I had is the side handle is a challenge to setup. The ring that goes around the drill is too tight and takes some working to get on. Not enough to take a star off for, though. The rest of the drill more than makes up for this small design issue. My suggestion is. If you are seriously looking at this drill, stop looking and buy it. You won't find a better quality drill. If you already own IR products, this is right up there with their cordless impact wrenches.Note: If you purchase the Bare Tool, it does not come with battery or case. This is noted in the description and is why the bare tool is $100 cheaper. I do wish they had an option to purchase the tool with the case, but no battery for those of use that already have plenty of 20v batteries.
