This is such a nice and affordable eyebrow pencil. I made the mistake of applying it too hard because of a previous order, but realised it is better to apply lightly. Which means it will last much longer for me. It is almost gel like but stays on for a while -- unless you wipe it with an alcohol wipe, of course. Really nice eyebrow pencil. I am considering on ordering another one just in case it is no longer in production. I recommend brushing your eyebrows down and drawing a line at the top and brushing up and drawing a line at the bottom. Then fill it in and smudge it lightly with the brush to diffuse it a bit better.

With diminishing eyebrows I needed a simple solution that lasts all day. This retractable eyebrow pencil doesn’t need sharpening which is a plus, it lasts all day and the ‘blonde’ colour is the right colour for me, not too dark. The only negative really is that it doesn’t last long, just under three weeks but at under £4 you can’t really complain. Just ordered two more!

As a teenager in the 80's where plucking our eyebrows pencil thin was the fashion well into the 90's my eyebrows never recovered.. I was looking for a pencil that really would be waterproof for a holiday in Greece where I'd spend a lot of time in and out of the water, This pencil definitely did the trick and was a perfect match for my natural eyebrows colour (dark brown) it stayed put all day and never wiped off when drying my face on a towel but came off easily without too much rubbing when washing my face with my usual face cleanser. Easy to use and no annoying sharpening that usually snaps the tip of any liners off. Highly recommended. *Update of review* 8mths later and I'm still buying the brow pencil! As others have mentioned it doesn't last that long but for the quality it's 2nd to none! and let's face it it's pretty reasonably priced so isn't breaking my bank to replace it or even stock up on it, buy 2 and it lasts as long as your average pencil but as I said it's quality and staying power is what has me coming back, something only the really stupidly expensive makes actually deliver, so I'm happy to buy 2 of these pencils at a time for the fraction of the cost of the "Designer brand" makeup.

I've seen lots of rave reviews about this (and AI recommended it to me!). However, I'm not that impressed. My eyebrows sort-of disappeared circa 1996, and matters were not helped by having eyebrow piercings (if you too are Gen X then you will know what I'm on about here!). So I need something to give the impression of having more eyebrow hairs than I actually do. This is like a soft crayon, which is ok for filling in large areas of sparse brow. It gives a sort of blurring effect. But if you're looking to draw in 'hairs', forget it - it doesn't work for that. You'll need something that gives much more precision. Also, it lasted hardly any time at all. It's running out already. The colour is ok - not too dark, not too light, so it's suitable for those with light to medium brown hair.

Lasts for hours

Really pleased with this eyebrow pencil’s shade. Finding two that are grey colour is very unusual, and this was ideal for me. The tip of the pencil is soft enough to fill in the gaps, yet precise enough to add eyebrow where I have none. My eyebrows stay in place all day and don’t smudge or rub off. Great price too.

The pencil for eyebrows I bought from you was useless no lead in it. Very disappointed pierce Gerald Roche.

De e.l.f. Instant Lift Waterproof Brow Pencil is prima! Hij brengt soepel aan en geeft goed kleur af. Ik heb donkerbruin, deze kleur is best donker maar kan toch bij mijn lichte haar. Mijn wenkbrauwen tonen gelift. De punt is niet te hard en met het borsteltje kun je na het aanbrengen je wenkbrauwen in shape borstelen. En het blijft prima zitten!

I never write reviews, I mean NEVER. But, I had to write about this brow pencil. First of all, the blond is actually blond, not orange, or grey, or green, like some of the other brow pencils I’ve gotten. I have golden blond hair, and it’s slightly darker than my hair, so it looks very natural. Secondly, it is definitely sweatproof, and it does stay on in water. If you rub your brows when they’re wet, like I accidentally did, it’ll rub off a little bit. But otherwise, it’s the most waterproof brow pencil I’ve tried. It lasts all day too, and it doesn’t fade. For the low price, it is definitely worth it.

I absolutely love this pencil in Taupe. The color gives the most natural finish and works beautifully across a range of hair colors, from blonde to light and medium brown. It blends seamlessly and never looks overdone when applied with a light hand. The spoolie on the other end is genuinely useful. I use it to brush and shape the brows before and during application, which helps guide the hairs into place and creates a much more polished result. The creamy texture glides on smoothly with minimal effort and distributes evenly without any clumping. The pigment is rich enough to fill sparse areas but the key is not to press too hard, otherwise it is easy to overdo it. A light touch gives the most natural look. The staying power is impressive. Throughout the day the color holds up well even if you accidentally touch your brows. Only if you deliberately rub them will the color come off. My brows look the same in the evening as they did in the morning. I have gone through many of these pencils and the quality and price are consistently excellent. My only wish is that e.l.f. would release the same formula in a wooden pencil that you sharpen, since the retractable format tends to run out faster. That said, it will not stop me from repurchasing. Also worth mentioning, e.l.f. is vegan and cruelty-free, which is always a welcome bonus.
