Stylish, compact and spacious!
Ok, so I just received the bag today and I'm already very happy with the quality and look! I placed my items (laptop, etc.) in the bag and everything fits perfectly without bulking up to where it feels like and duffle bag. Nice and compact yet spacious. I love this bag and the style of it is perfect for me. The convenience added by the magnetic buckles makes this bag perfect in my opinion!

Basically my dream messenger bag: stylish, pockets for everything, durable, versatile.
I've had this bag for a bit over a year now (normally I don't come back and review products so much later but I'd reviewed something else and noticed this in my options to review and thought since I'd had it so long and it's still holding up I'd throw a review out there). I bought it after my mother bought this same bag - I saw hers (which has held up equally well to everything she puts it through for work), loved the design (I've always loved messenger bags but it always seems tough to find a nice-looking one), and had been thinking I could use a new laptop bag. I'm a freelance writer - this bag has traveled with me to libraries and coffee shops as I write my articles. It has pockets for everything, I can fit my planner, tablet, a reporters' notebook, billfold/wallet, folding over-the-ear headphones, pack of gum, water bottle, pens, assorted papers and notes, laptop and cord all inside. This bag will fit a roughly 15-inch laptop - if you have anything past probably 15.6/16 inches, you'll likely need a slightly bigger bag (if you're one of those people with a 17-inch behemoth of a laptop, it probably won't fit in this, at least not easily). Looks-wise this bag is absolutely gorgeous, a classic, rugged look, my bag is brown so I don't know what the other colors look like, but the brown is a beautiful, versatile color that goes with everything. The only thing I'd improve is the water bottle pockets on the side of the bag. They're fine but it'd be great if they were a bit more open/a bit wider perhaps - if I'm taking a water bottle (lately reusable but not always) somewhere, I usually have to make sure the bottle goes in the bag before the laptop to get everything in smoothly and easily. I will say this bag definitely holds up! Summary: Gorgeous, durable, well-made, versatile bag, definitely worth it, can hold everything and then some - I'd always wanted a good-looking messenger bag and something like this was basically my dream bag. Oh, and I forgot to add - the strap is removable so if you want/need to unclip it and just carry it like a brief case that's an option. Also, I really don't get why a gender-neutral item like a bag is branded as "men's" because this design definitely has universal appeal!

Great if you're not carrying many items
I have had this bag for over 2 years. The item overall is good. The material feels and looks good, rugged. It also fits quite a bit. I can get two thin laptops in there, an ereader, headhphones in a case, and other assorted items into the pockets and still get the item closed. What I mainly have an issue with is the magnetic clasps and the main zipper. The clasps are a bit weak. If you clasp the bag closed, and pick it up by the handle, depending on the weight of what is in the bag, there is a change that the magnetic claps will disconnect, which is annoying enough that I almost never use the handle and just sling the bag over my shoulder. The zipper will not properly zip closed when there items in the bag that stretch it open. The zipper will literally just pop open, which is bizarre because the zipper looks pretty hefty. You may think the bag is just overfilled, but I have seen zippers on backpacks and duffle bags handle plenty more, to the point that the material the zipper is sewn to is more likely to tear than the zipper. Either way, both of these issues has made it that I am really in need of a better bag sadly. I like this bag but it's functionally not doing what I need it to.

Amazing Quality
This bag has taken hard-core abuse for 6 months and still looks like the daily I got it. Solid hardware and stitching. This bag is stylish and gets compliments everywhere I go. Yo life is hard on me and Im hard on life. This thing fits nicely in my motorcycle saddlebag and walking down the street of any city.

What you see is what you get
What more can you say? It's more or less what you see in the photo. It is largely canvass, with some leather bits here and there. The magnetic straps work pretty well (though can slip off if you're carrying it and it is bouncing around so it may be better to carry it by the shoulder strap rather than the handle - either way, I have not had anything spill out yet). It has a bit of a rough-hewn look to it and that's really ok for me, because as a geologist, I expect that I'll eventually be carting this into field locations and plunking it down somewhere. There's room enough (barely) for my 15.6" laptop - so that's the biggest computer you can squeeze in there. If I had any complaints / suggestions for improvement I would say that it would be probably a lot better to have the laptop pocket inside secured by a button-on or magnetized clasp rather than the velcro they have in there. I say this because many people take their laptop everywhere, and so they are constantly taking it out and putting it back in - and that will wear out over time if you are constantly sticking and and unsticking it. For that reason, I simply let the securing strap hang down inside of that pocket and slip the computer in. The other thing is that I would like it to be *ever* so slightly larger to fit perhaps a larger laptop or, for we earth scientist types, more tools of the trade. Minor complaint but I just think if it had the internal fastener magnetized like the outside ones and got rid of that velcro and you expanded its length by an inch or so, slap in a few zippable inner pockets for small odds and ends and/or make it able to expand a BIT more (putting my laptop and a few small workbooks in it makes it hard to close the zipper on top so I just leave it open) and it'd be pretty much perfect. I like it. It suits me. Size might be just half an inch or an inch smaller and the internal compartments could be made for a little better micro-managing of your things (and get rid of that velcro) than I'd like but otherwise it's good. Worth the money. Especially if you like something that feels like it's not going to mind being rubbed up a bit. It's not invincible super material but it seems sturdy SO far. Also, kudos on the fast delivery time.

Way Better Than I Thought It Would Be
I have a great leather bag, sized vertically, that was quite expensive, and it's held up perfectly, but the vertical layout no longer works for me. So I spent quite a while obsessing over what I wanted in a new messenger bag, figuring that I'd again have to spend at least a few hundred bucks to get something high quality. Then I found this bag, and decided to give it a shot. I love it. I can fit more in here than I could in my other bag, but it still feels lighter. The magnetic clasps in the front really do work, and the front flap does secure stuff in the front pockets (I had wondered before purchasing if this would be a fail -- it is not). The top zipper holds everything inside nice and tight and protected. The stitching seems perfect, the material hardy and durable, and the oiled canvas seems like it's going to age perfectly. Two minor quibbles: I'd love to have zippered INSIDE pockets, maybe just one, as the smaller inside pockets are a little loose. And the velcro strap securing the laptop storage area, when properly velcroed shut, the strap does little to secure that pouch -- but I can tweak that by adding some additional velcro if I get around to it. The laptop isn't going anywhere; I just want that strap to be tighter. Overall, if you're like me and you're wondering if a sub-$50 bag is any good: yes, yes it is. It's VERY good.

It has enough space to accommodate a large Laptop or a Folder. Happy with my decision.

Lovely vintage look
I’m loving this bag. At first I was planning on using it mostly for my travels, when carrying a laptop, since I already have a good small bag for my books, but I’ve been using it for my books too because I like the look of it so much.

Value for money. Good quality with good amount of compartments.
A well made high quality leather messenger bag. I have paid three times this price to get a bag where the strap got worn out. After using it almost daily for a month, I have to say that it is durable and performs well in light rain as well.
