Mind-Blowing Brightness – Professional Quality in Every Detail
Mind-Blowing Brightness – Professional Quality in Every Detail This light blew my mind! The NEEWER CB300B is built like a tank with an all-metal body and outstanding design. From the powerful 320W output to the smooth color temperature control (2700K–6500K), every feature feels dialed in for serious video work. The brightness is absolutely insane — it truly lights up the world. CRI/TLCI ratings are spot-on for accurate color rendering, and the built-in power supply keeps the setup clean and portable. The remote control (via app or 2.4G) works flawlessly, and even the carry bag is top quality. If you're looking for a professional-grade bi-color COB light that delivers power, precision, and portability — this is it. Couldn't be happier!

Great light
This is a great light. Solid, reliable, comes with a good case. I'll get another soon. Neewer stuff is terrific.

Highly Recommend!
I love this strobe, the quality and sturdiness of it. Comes in a case for portability. It heats fast so be careful. Bang for your buck! I love the functional uses for my photography.

Great value!
Great light! Great carrying bag, only 4 stars because they seem to be barely brighter than the 230 watt versions

really great light!
I have been wanting a powerful continuous light for photography and this worked out perfectly. Comes in a nice case, easy to adjust the settings and color temperature. It is pretty heavy, so I do recommend using a more robust light stand or c-stand if you purchase it. I was honestly a little iffy about it, but it is really nice.

Great buy!
Only used it once so far and I love it. I was using panel lights but this is much stronger especially when using that boost mode. More like Beast mode. It’s definitely quiet enough for video shoots especially if your using a Lav mic or Shotgun setup. The ability to select your power output along with a grid light box gives you optimal and controlled lighting. Adding back lights or hair lighting would only compliment this one, IMO.

I am updating my review after being contacted directly by the Yulonglong. They replace the issue within two business days. It was the perfect solution for my issue and I really appreciated it. The light is perfect for it's price point. Very easy to use and setup. The light is powerfu, silent, and very simple to setup in the apps. I would highly recommend this light.

I was very surprised and quite blown away with the quality, brightness and number of features this light has to offer. I knew that 320W was going to be good, but I was pleasantly surprised by the high output of the LED. The booster mode packs a hard punch with the highest intensity of light with the push of one button. I liked that their app allows you to use the light without having to signup or sign in. You can use it in guest mode and have access to adjusting the light settings remotely. This is great if you have the light fixed in a high position and can’t access the back of the light directly. The light features fancy lighting modes that act like presets such as flickering bulb, tv flashing, fireworks, etc. I’ve used other brands that offer the same type of app and preset settings and it’s just nice to have although my usage of those features don’t happen often. I also like the ability to wirelessly daisy chain multiple lights together or create scenes through the app so you can control multiple lights at the same time. Another thing I liked is that the light has a Bowens mount making it usable with different attachments and diffusers. It would have been a nice bonus if they included a diffuser or egg carton attachment, but the light has a great dimming setting anyway. There’s also an umbrella reflector attachment on the bottom of the light which is a nice feature. One thing I thought the light could have had was a physical spot or spread knob so that the light could be pointed more or spread out more. The included attachment does a decent spot job. I like that it tells you the light temperature on the back display, at 50 degrees the internal fan comes on and it’s pretty quiet. You can really feel the heat that comes from the light, more so when the booster mode is on. It’s a shame that this light is not made to be portable. What I mean by that is you can’t battery power it unless you’re lugging around a full power bank. I would have liked to see a v-mount attachment where the light could be powered by d-tap even if the power intensity gets dropped, it would be nice to have that portability. Being hardwired is nice as you won’t have to worry about light dipping or power interruptions. The reason I like this light outweighs the wants I’d like the light to have. The somewhat hard carrying case was a nice surprise as I didn’t think it would include one. All you need is a proper lighting stand and you’re good to go for whatever photo or video shoot. I’ve never had a bad experience with the Neewer brand and the build quality on this CB300B studio light shows. I’m happy to have this in my arsenal of video lighting gear!

I am a big fan of the Neewer brand, having purchased flashes and various other odds and ends over the years. They've always delivered in terms of quality, and the overall value they provide versus other brands. The CB300B light did not disappoint. From the moment you open the box, you can see care has gone into the product. Even the case itself is solidly built, provides a lot of protection for the light, and has a few little features that make it more user-friendly such as a solid rubber holder for your name/details tag, and straps to hold the lid up while you're taking out the light. The light itself is phenomenal. It is incredibly powerful at 320W. Note that one of the marketing images states 150,000lux/1m and then the specifications page states 135,000lux/1m so I'm not sure which is accurate. I like that you can easily click the boost mode down to lower the intensity if needed which will also turn the fan off. The controls are really intuitive, and the screen on the back provides easily readible info. Without reading the manual, and just clicking through the buttons you can figure it out pretty easily. For example, with the various lighting effects/scenes such as lightning, paparazzi, explosion, etc, there's little icons of lighting bolts, cameras, or bombs to correspond to each of the settings so you don't need to really remember anything complicated - it's intuitive enough you can deduce what each one is. I love the wheel for adjusting settings as it's easy to scroll back and forth through the various settings such as colour temperature, intensity and scene effects. The display also shows the operating temperature of the light so you can keep an eye out for it getting too hot. You can see in the comparison photo what a difference the 2700K vs 6500K makes in the final photo (Note the poor quality of the photo is not a result of the light, it's my ancient phone's picture quality). The only small issue I had was that I thought the 'warning' stick on cover of the light was a temporary warning only, so I tried to remove the sticker and it left goo all over it. Easily removeable with goo gone, but to me it had appeared to be a temporary sticker not meant to stay on the equipment permanently. Note that the light is quite heavy, and must be powered via the cord, so it's not exactly portable, it's more for studio use. Overall, super high quality light, and another great product from Neewer.

This is now my most powerful continuous light by far. If I want to bring it down to the power of my other lights, there is a novel feature on this called 'Booster' that puts the unit into a low power mode. Everything seems to operate the same either way but the Brightness control's range using the app slider or the back buttons/dial work in the lower 60W so you have finer adjustments possible with Booster off. In practice I usually have the CB300 with Booster ON. However another benefit of Booster OFF is that with the lower output limit, the unit shuts off the fan and can use the heat sinks to silently dissipate heat. The Neewer smartphone app connected easily enough. I just found that for this CB300 it was not that well thought out because when on the screen with touch sliders for Brightness and Color Temperature, there were several extra taps to get into another screen just for the sake of selecting Booster ON/OFF. It would make so much more sense to have that showing on the previous screen - there is lots of room for it. The app allows saving favourite pairs of Brightness & Temperature to recall them later quite quickly. Using only the physical controls I was able to get everything I typically use just by looking at the labels and watching the indicators on the display. I was soon able to keep looking at the camera subject and reach over to feel the buttons and dial to adjust while I kept my concentration on the subject. The main power switch is not on the back. It is tucked on the bottom curve of the main body, offset a little bit to the right of the AC cord connector. There is even a big, bright blue label "POWER >>>>>" wrapping around the can to direct a user to the power switch. Amusing to see for the first time and useful under the circumstances. The metal bracket to mount the CB300 to a stand is large and lengthy. The receiver for a light stand spigot has holes for both vertical and horizontal connection to a spigot. The swivel points are large and the grip is helped by large diameter toothed faces digging into thick rubbery disks. The tightening knob is similarly large diameter so the light is not going to slip and tilt. The release for the Bowens mount reflector is a bright blue slider that operates with very little effort or noise. My variety of Bowens mount items mounted and released with no hitches. The included reflector has a cut out for an umbrella shaft. The body has a metal block where the umbrella shaft would get locked into place with a thumb screw. It's solidly built. The included Neewer carrying case is a piece of work all on its own. The hidden construction as far as I can determine is a semi-rigid wrap around tub of plastic. So the entire well of the case is almost like a camper cooler in effect. The lid also contains a semi rigid panel. There are bulbous feet with this case that seem to give enough clearance that you could put the case down on a wet parking lot and the case itself is not going to touch the water. The CB300 and its essential parts take up all the room inside the case so as big as the case appears, it's dedicated to protecting the light, not for stuffing in other accessories.
