Does exactly what I wanted
Refer this cover to prevent stormy rain from entering a brick air vent. Easily fitted & so far works well.

Does the job.
Fitted over my cooker hood vent slats. Stops them flapping and banging in the wind.

Expensive piece of plastic but does the job
I wanted to cover but not block an extractor fan vent to reduce the amount of cold air coming in on very windy days and this vent cover achieved that. The plastic is thick enough and the terracotta colour a nice warm brown. However there are a few things to be aware of. The cover does not come with any instructions and no screws are supplied. The moulding inside was not finished very well around the edges and needed a little trimming with a knife to tidy up, easy enough to do. The placement of the lower screw holes is such that they are difficult to access with a drill-driver so a regular screwdriver will be needed. Overall the cover is easy to fit and does the job but it seems expensive for what it is.

No One Knew How Much Draft Until I Put the Mask...errr...Cowl On
Having inherited some "questionable" fixtures with a home purchase, I was left scratching my temple at the seemingly large air-brick installed below the main living room bay window. After realizing it was done for fire/insurance regulations (log burner in the room) and the first winter with incredible drafts I realized something needed to be done to combat the loss of heat.Unfortunately removing it wasn't an option, and thankfully came across this cowl which is literally big enough to cover the space. Easy to install (does not include any screws/anchors/etc.) and has seemingly cut down on the wind/draft entering the living room. One star off as I feel as though the item is more expensive than it deserves to be.
