Review: The best switch of this type I have ever fitted - This switch is very well made and comes with excellent instructions written in perfect English! The terminals are firmly attached to the body which really makes installation much easier. Plus terminals are provided for all three wires unlike some switches I have used in the past where you only have terminals for the live so you have very carefully strip the cable sheath in the middle of the cable without damaging the neutral and earth. It also has two very sturdy cable clamps to protect the cable from being pulled out. Because of the small size of these switches, they will always be a little fiddley to install but the way this switch is made really helps to reduce this. An excellent product. Review: Good quality switch but quite fiddly - Good looking switch but so small inside that it's quite difficult for big fingers to fit the wires into it. We also have stock available from our own warehouse facility. **Q: Is this switch suitable for use in car for a 12v accessory? i.e. to connect a lead with red wire for power and black for negative.** A: Hi, I’m not an electrician so you may need to check, given that this switch operates as a simple circuit breaker; if you were to install it online into a 12v system, it should work, I would have thought that there are bespoke switches from Halfords etc that would look better? Sorry if this isn’t helpful. **Q: Would this be suitable for some fairy lights with a thin 2-wire lead?** A: Yes, I used it for fairy lights. Works a treat. Saves unplugging all the time to turn off at night. **Q: Could I wire this into a laptop charger cable?** A: I am not an electrician but I think that depending on which end of the charger; ie the 240/110v side or the thinner cable on the other end would make a difference. I would not wire this at the thicker 240/110v side as this item is rated for lighting (lamp) therefore a lower current. Just pulling the charging lead out of the laptop end would suffice?
