Made it through 2 winters!
Very pleased with these covers. We struggled to find one that would work on A/C units in the wall that had bottom brackets to the house siding, which required the bottom to be open. While these didn't have that, we were able to adapt these to fit snugly. The straps work great as well. I wanted to make sure they made it through a winter or two before posting a review and they met the requirements!

Does the job!
UPDATE:.Getting ready to install this cover for the third winter season, October thru May. It still works great, keeping the weather out, though the sun has faded the outer material noticeably to a light gray after 2 seasons.Just bought another for a second 8000 BTU window AC unit, which I don't want to have to remove anymore. They seem to get heavier year on year! ;-)The SMALL size (the dimensions of which are typical for all small covers) won't fit quite as snug since that unit is only 18.5 inch W x 12 inch H. The straps will take up the slack, which I'll force to the underside..ORIGINAL REVIEW:.Just received and fitted the "Small" window AC cover. It is a heavy-duty fabric material, with a smooth waterproof inner lining. The seams are reinforced with an additional fabric strip. While slightly larger and longer than the AC unit, it is an easy install and close to a perfect fit for my unit, covering all five sides. The additional length ensures that the cover "seals" well against the window. The two simple straps with plastic snap-fit buckles fasten the cover tightly onto the AC unit, primarily clamping it at the corners. After the install, I did tuck the lower seams under (third photo) so as to eliminate the "trough" (second photo) that could collect debris, water and snow. I also was able to ensure the bottom tray of the AC unit was dry as it's been off for a few days and the weather has been dry. This AC unit is the type that purposely collects water in the bottom to make it more efficient and there's no drain plug. Any water left in the bottom would be a great source of mold and potential ice in the winter!I can see that this will protect and eliminate drafts through the AC unit, but it's not going to insulate it from the cold as it's not that type of material. The black color will absorb some heat on sunny days though, which will help to warm the cold air inside the unit. Some cold air will convect into the room through the vents as we don't currently plan to fit a cover on the inside. This is the first time we've left the 12,000 BTU window AC in place over the winter (it's getting too much to lift it out every year, clean it and carry it up to the attic - a 2 person job). So, these next few months will tell how well this product works. I will be updating the review in the future. At $21, very pleased with the value so far.

A nice cover for a good price
I purchased this after getting tired of fitting a 10' x 12' tarp over our through-the-wall AC unit for the past several years. This was so easy to install and fit perfectly around our AC unit. I wished that I purchased something like this years ago!The cover feels well made and when I inspected it before putting it on the AC unit it appeared to be in good shape with no visible light through the panels or at the seams. The cover slipped effortlessly over the exterior of the unit but was a few inches too long. Following the supplied directions, I rolled the excess material under the cover and snugged it up against the exterior wall.Previously I held the tarp on with a few bungee cords and I have to say that the straps supplied with the cover went on easy and cinched down nice and tight around the cover. I tied up the tails and feel confident that the cover will hold tight through the nastiest of winter storms. The snug fit and tight straps should keep the material from flapping in the wind and wearing out.I gave it four stars because it has only seen one rain storm and some fall winds and I haven't seen if it will last through the winter and spring. If it doesn't, I will be back to let everyone know.

very good price
this cover works perfectly. good quality, good price. Very adaptable for fitting an A.C. that may be close to the measurements of the cover when one can't find the exact size. they are needing..

Cover is light in weight
The cover fit perfectly, but material is very light weight and easy to install. However, the weight allowed cold air to fill the room making it feel like an icebox.

Feels sturdy
Moved into an apartment unit that has a wall unit for an AC and needed to cover it up since I had put an AC in. I found this and ordered one, but because it was cold out I just guesstimated by measuring the AC from the inside turned out it was way too small. In fact I had to order a large one to simply get the length needed to get around the metal casing (here the limiting factor was the length). I like how the material feels and it was fairly straight forward on how to secure it, the struggle with installing it was my lack of height. It looks rather silly from the outside, because it is far too deep. I only managed to roll it once and gave up because I could tell I would have to roll it several times to get it snug to the wall and sit flat to the back of the unit. I wanna safety pin it at the right spot when I go to take it off in the summer, but they say not to stitch or cut the cover because it takes away from the integrity of the material, which makes sense. It would have been my preference if there was more sizing options, like deep versus short instead of just scaling up or down one set of dimensions.TL:DR bought the wrong size but seemed so good, went back and got another one in the right size.
