works well with my lenovo flex 5
In the past, I have not had much luck with replacement charging adapters for laptops or power cables for Mini PCs. I'm usually replacing a cord that I have lost or damaged. or a cord for an item that I purchased at a discount because it didn't come with a power cable. in these situations, I tend to be happy, if I can manage to get the item to charge with it at all. But this cord purchase was different. it is an extra cord for a windows laptop that gets so much use that i find i need an extra cord. i was worried because in the past, when replacement cords do not work well, it seems using them is unhealthy for the electronics & i wouldn't want to do anything to hurt this laptop. i am very happy with it. it arrived quickly. it was priced lower than any others that shipped quickly. i plugged it in and it began charging without any fiddling or positioning. [if you're reading this and you have purchased replacement cords in the past you know exactly what I'm talking about when I say fidgeting and positioning if you hadn't then this is something for you to be aware of with cords that you buy as replacements; often they work as long as you're willing to have your device sit in a very specific position or place the cord in a specific position or mess around with them until they begin charging} i have also been able to use the computer while it was plugged in and charging with out the unusual behavior(keyboard & mouse mis-function) that can come with non oem chargers. This is what i was most nervous about. There is an antenna issue that effects the screen of this particular Lenovo 2 in 1. The problem is a difficult fix and got worse and worse until it became impossible to use when it is not plugged in. However, when plugged into an AC power outlet it seems to ground and works most of the time.(sounds crazy but since grabbing it in the right spot and becoming an antenna extension also works i'm convinced) i HAVE NOT had adequate opportunity to really test the cord using the computer while plugged in. Since plugged in operation is a huge problem with replacement cords I will definitely update this review. I was already contacted by the seller and vendor who wanted to be sure I was not having any troubles with the cable and to ensure me that they were there to help should I have any problems. That is why I am leaving a review this early on in the purchase. If you are in a hurry to get this replacement cord and get it at an affordable price I am already prepared to recommend this item & seller to you. i am confident it will charge your device(if your device is listed. there is a very compete list at the bottom of the page, i found my model # there.) i also believe that if you have any problems with it, the seller will take care of you. That being said, I will still put the cord through some more practical paces and update my review before Thanksgiving.- Lisa

Works like a charm
The charger that came with a refurbished laptop worked off and on. It was not dependable. Our choices were to return the entire laptop with provided accessories, or simply purchase a new brand-specific charger. We picked the latter and had the new charger in our hands within 24-hours. Plugged it in, and we were back in business. A+++

They're OK
I've had several of these chargers - all had cord issues, most likely due to me maneuvering my laptop around constantly. The plug-in connector by the laptop port keeps coming apart, bends and stops the charging/running function. This takes about a year to 1.5 years to fail. I've tried the flexible cord protectors to no avail. The only thing that will keep things "straight" (unless your computer is stationary) is make your own "straightener" via some narrow pipe because tapes don't hold. Buy extra because you'll need another one eventually. The bricks are great. Too bad the connector ends can't simply be replaced. It would save everyone a bundle!

Charger brick catastrophic failure
Purchased this charger for my latitude e6540 used it for about a week. Noticed though out the week that the brick was getting really hot and then a really bad smell started to come out of the brick. Finally it stopped working entirely and I went to pick the brick up and it leaked liquid all over the place. Opened the brick up to find that the large capacitor had blown up. If you like your home and the things in it this is not the charger for you, go pick yourself up the genuine charger for your computer.

It's a generic charger
So the brick part of this is a bit bigger than I imagined. It also feels fairly hollow. Which tells me that it could have been smaller. I'm guessing they use one shell for many different plugs.Another thing I've noticed is that the cord from the brick to the computer is a little short. However, for less than a sixth of the price for an OEM part, I can live with it.Shipping was exceedingly fast, packaging was nice, if not flashy, and it works.Time will tell if it endures, but for now, it's got my ancient Dell powered again.
