Must-Have for Headless Setups โ Works Perfectly!
A+. Picked up the 3-pack and couldn't be happier. These HDMI dummy plugs work exactly as advertised โ plug them in and your system instantly recognizes a 4K HDR display with zero fuss. No driver installs, no configuration headaches. Great for headless PCs, remote desktop setups, GPU rendering rigs, or anywhere you need a virtual monitor. Having three in the pack is a great value and means you've got spares on hand. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a reliable, no-nonsense headless display solution!

Solves the no-display boot issue on my Unraid server
I used this with an Unraid server running an ASUSTeK Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI motherboard. That motherboard needs a display connected to boot properly, and this dummy plug solves that, letting me boot without a monitor attached.

Great product... useful for a headless computer (i.e., a jumpbox)
Such a simple device... if you setup a machine without a monitor (i.e., a jumpbox), when you remote to the machine, you can only get a low resolution screen. Pop one of these on, and the machine thinks you have a 4K display attached, so you can set whatever screen resolution you want and actually work remotely without a hassle of the low res display

Simple and affordable HDMI dummy plugs for headless boxes
These work great for setting up headless Linux machines where you want to be able to simply set up remote graphical access via VNC.

Works great on raspberry pi
Life saver for my raspberry pi 5. I wanted to use it as a remote only web viewer. Without this dummy plug both RealVNC and Pi Connect were absolutely unusable and extremely laggy I plugged this into the Pi 5 and now both remote viewers are working flawlessly with high refresh rates. This is a must have if you want to run a raspberry pi or computer in a headless configuration.

2/3 work
Unfortunately, only 2 out of 3 of these dummy plugs worked out of the box. Thankfully, I only needed one for my intended purpose, but anyone who absolutely needs three might consider buying 2 packs, or looking elsewhere. Despite 1 being faulty, these dummy plugs seem to be robustly built (although, full disclosure, I have only been using them for a short time). Windows recognized them right away, without any drivers or applications needing installation. The best thing about them, though, is they can help solve unique and/or complicated PC and A/V connection issues- which is why I needed them. I have knocked off 1 star for the faulty plug but otherwise I would recommend these.

Perfect for Laptops (Steam/Moonlight/Sunshine/Discord
I used this for being able to stream stuff for my friends like Jackbox and being able to use SteamLink in order to use my laptop without having to have my screen on. This not only did that successfully but I also found that there was less latency too! It takes a bit to get used to switching the primary screen/secondary screen (you need to use windows + p and use the up/down arrows) but if you can get used to that, this will change the way you handle streaming anything on your laptop.

False advertising
Does not support 1080p. Does not support 4k at 60hz (supports it at 23hz) Tried setting 1080p for my ubuntu machine and it was not working via cvt and xandr. After checking "xrandr --props" in the terminal I saw it definitely does not support 1080p, and the 4k is at 23hz Here is the xandr output: HDMI-0 connected primary 1280x800+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 620mm x 340mm 4096x2160 23.98 + 3840x2160 23.98 1280x800 59.81* 1280x720 60.00 59.94 50.00 1024x768 60.00 800x600 75.00 72.19 60.32 56.25 720x576 50.00 720x480 59.94 640x480 75.00 59.94 59.93
