So much so that I purchased a second one for use in our Local Forest Garden. It does the heavy work around trees and bushes that we can't get into with our weed whackers. That way we can protect that drip irrigation lines. I use the hedge trimmer attachment for heavy grass. BUT BE CAREFUL. This is not a toy, and it is very easy to injure yourself if you don't pay close attention. The blades are extremely sharp. I managed to almost cut the tip of my thumb clear off. Battery life is super. Weight makes it easy to handle for long periods of time. ## Frequently Bought Together - Makita XMU04ZX 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Cordless Grass Shear with Hedge Trimmer Blade, Tool Only - Makita BL1840BDC1 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Battery and Charger Starter Pack (4.0Ah) - Makita BL1820B 18V Compact Lithium-Ion 2.0Ah Battery, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/594319343-makita-xmu04zx-18v-lxt-lithium-ion-cordless-grass-shear-hedge](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/594319343-makita-xmu04zx-18v-lxt-lithium-ion-cordless-grass-shear-hedge) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
