This item is AMAZING!! It helps prevent your dog from chewing the stick all the way down and accidentally swallowing a piece that's a little too big.MY ONLY COMPLAINT: my dog continued to chew it even after the stick was only a little nub. She chewed so much that now the screw is almost impossible to loosen/tighten so it's basically impossible to use anymore. I ended up buying another and i take it away once she's done chewing on the actual stick to prevent her from chewing on the toy.

I bought this for my Australian Shepherd puppy. The holder is great. But you have to get it in there tight. The bully sticks fit well in the holder and are good quality but some are a little too skinny or weirdly shaped. Sometimes I use pliers to tighten them in there. And she spends a lot time trying to get the left over piece out which keeps her busy for a long time. I love this product.

I have a very active two year old golden retriever that loves to chew on bully sticks. I worry about him choking on or swallowing the last inches of the sticks in one gulp. I have tried using various rubber holders and toys to hold the bully stick, both as a safety measure and as something that he can hold in his paws to manipulate the stick as he chews on it. The Bully Buddy works so well- it is solid, the screw mechanism holds the stick firmly in place, and my dog loves carrying it around while he chews on the stick. When he’s chewed as far as he can, I take the last inch of the stick out of the Bully Buddy. No more choking worries!

I really like this kit because it comes with a little plastic mason jar and bully sticks (they STINK! This helps contain the smell), but the holder itself doesn’t work very well. If you have a dog that just chews the bully stick, you’re fine! That was our first experience.However, if you have a dog like mine that uses the holder as a weapon and tosses things in the air, everything will fly out with gusto after a few minutes. I’m mixed on my feelings with this. For the holder and bully sticks alone, it’s not worth the cost. If you have a gentle dog who aggressively chews but doesn’t throw things, you’ll be fine. I do not. He loves it though, on its own.

This device is perfect for dogs who like bully sticks. If you put the bully stick correctly into the device, it stays there and the dog can chew the stick from both sides. (Make sure the “screw” goes right on top of the groove in the bully stick and then make sure you tighten the device strongly.)Our dog, who uses this device has now learned to bring it to us whenever he wants a bully stick and we all make a big production out of it. (He doesn’t get one every time, though).I think the device is over priced, but to us, it’s worth it. Highly recommend it.Little side note: our other dog, who is not as an aggressive chewer, always gets the piece that’s left over.

I’ve been on the hunt for a bully stick that lasts more than 5 minutes for my little man. The holder is a good design but wished the plastic was softer instead of hard plastic. That’s not that bad part though. The bully sticks are THE worst bully sticks ever. My dog seemed to enjoy it for about 5 minutes. Then, like most of his toys and chew things, this one found it’s way to my bed along with his wide assortment of toys. He seemed to be well entertained which made me happy. Unfortunately, 5 minutes into him chewing away I smell one of THE worse smells EVER. It was the bully stick! I had to throw it away..not just throw it away but take it outside to my large trash container. My dogs have had many different brands to bully sticks, treats, pigs ears etc. and I have never smelled anything this bad. I can’t Eve describe the disgusting smell that came from this stick. I can see why my dog stopped chewing on it. Luckily the bully stick holder can be used on other brands of sticks.Disappointed that I paid so much for the holder which was disappointing, a bag of sticks that nowhere near fills up the jar and then the bag of the worst sticks ever. If you love your dog as a family member do NOT buy this brand of sticks. So, $45 out the window and I’m still on the hunt for a good bully stick and holder. 🙁

We weren't sure about how this holder would work. We put a bully stick in and Mina looked at it with suspicion. She walked around it, touched it, and took a taste. Then, she pulled it to her and started chewing. Holding the Bully Buddy exactly as it was designed to be held. The stick seemed long for our pup, but she did just fine. She's been through 2 bully sticks so far. We give her one per day.It's safer for Mina, she can't try to eat the little remaining piece. We're really happy with it.

My dog is obsessed with bully sticks, but he chews half and swallows the other half...not safe. I saw a Rubydoobydo (may she rest in peace) video where she had one of these holders and knew my guy needed one. This thing is SUPER sturdy and VERY easy to use. My guy was super psyched to see the bully stick, tried to pick it up to chew it and noped out of there so fast. He will NOT chew his bully stick while it's held by this thing. I keep offering it to him and he'll try to pick up the stick, drop it, and walk off. I'm super bummed because this thing wasn't cheap and swallowing his bully sticks whole is a surgery waiting to happen. Oh well.
