Works perfectly!
This thermometer is fantastic! It is very accurate and works perfectly in the tub so I can get the perfect temperature for my little monkey man to be happy. I love that it floats and that it can be used outside the tub so I even know what the temperature is in my son's room!

Baby bath thermometer
Absolutely loved this little guy. You can set for temperature. It alarms you if temp is too low or too high. Waterproof so the babies love to play with it. Also comes with extra set of batteries. Very simple to use. Great price for a great little item.

Too complicated
I found this Digital Baby Bath Tub Thermometer with Temperature Alarm, a little complicated when it comes to the functions. You definitely need the instructions to figure it out. The writing on the instructions is way to small. Once you figure out what you're reading, you have to hold tiny little buttons while simultaneously trying to look at the system screen. Talking about tiny things, glad it comes with its own tiny screw driver to take off the tiny screws when changing batteries. Glad it came with extra batteries as I'm sure we will need them, sooner then later considering it didn't have an manual off button. We do like that it reads the room temperature, and the water temperature. The alarm that goes off when it is too cold, and hot is a great feature. Overall this is a great water thermometer. Should have gotten it sooner, before we ruined our meat thermometer, which wasn't water resistant.

Awesome product works great and kids love it
Great item, definitely would recommend the kids love it and it makes it very easy to make sure you don’t have the bath water too hot without having to stand there and feel it the entire time

This beats the elbow temperature test with simple blue (cold) red (hot) warnings
Babies have thin skin and I've read that the ideal bath temperature is 98.6F to 100.3F degrees. This waterproof thermometer takes the guess work out and gives a real time temperature reading as well as warning lights (red for too hot and blue for too cold). It's a cute pink frog that floats and you can tell by it's color when your too hot or too cold. I remember the old days when grandma stuck her elbow in the water to test the temperature. The battery compartment is sealed with a gasket tightened by twisting the cover on. There is a tiny screw to prevent anyone from turning the cover open accidentally, and they even provided the tiny screwdriver and some extra batteries. There's not much to setup, just insert battery, select between Celsius or Fahrenheit. The temperature display is large and easy to read, but light will turn on blue when it gets cold, or red when you add too much hot water. Seems best to keep some extra water slightly warmer to mix as the bath cools off.The thermometer measures in tenths of a degree. Water in the bath did vary from spot to spot. I measured the temperature with my instant read oven thermometer as well as an IR No Touch gun thermometer. All 3 were different (this floating one 98.6, Instant oven probe 101.1, and IR gun 100.5). The IR gun probably measures the surface temperature (which I expect would be slightly warmer), and the oven instant read might be optimized and calibrated for much warmer temperatures (cooked foods). I may need to borrow more thermometers to test the calibration. However it did seem like the temperature was about the right range for babies and the red light came on around 99.7 F degrees by default. You can set the high and low temperature warnings. According to specs it says it's accurate to 2 degrees F, or 1 degree C.So best to do a calibration test yourself and set the hot warning limit accordingly. Again, out of the box, I thought the default setting was good, even if the reading was actually 1 or 2 degrees lower than the actual temperature. In any case, it's rubberized, waterproof and has warning lights and is much safer to use than a meat thermometer with your baby. 5 stars.

No more guessing temperatures
We have a new born at home, and we've been guessing the water temperature, its complicated as my ideal temperature is way different than my wife ideal water temperature for our baby. This little cute device just removes all the guesswork and interpretation and gives us a number we can actually go by. I haven't measure the accuracy of the reading but it has been consistent the times we have used it.we also love that it has an LED that indicates if the water is too cold as it lights in blue, or too hot and lights in red.Overall it is a life saver and in a very small package, if you haven't get one of this and have perfect temperatures for your baby's bath.
