La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Niacinamide Serum, Anti-Aging Dark Spot Corrector

ve been using La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum consistently, and I’m really impressed. It has helped fade my post-acne marks and made my skin tone look more even. The texture is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t feel greasy. It works well under moisturizer and sunscreen. Results take a few weeks, so patience is important, but it’s worth it. I would definitely recommend it for anyone dealing with dark spots or uneven skin tone.

I am absolutely LOVING this LRP MelaB3 Niacinamide serum. I did some research and liked what I saw regarding the studies of long-term use of this product. After several months, the B3 reveals brighter skin and dark spots are less noticeable. I have several dark spots on my cheeks, and am trying everything I can to reduce them (short of a laser, and that’s not off the table)! This is a slightly viscous (not viscious! haha) pink serum that comes in a blue bottle with a dropper. I store it out of sunlight in a cool place because usually that’s why skincare items come in unusual packaging, and that’s clue enough for me. It doesn’t take much to cover my entire face, neck, and chest with the serum…maybe 3-4 drops. I do get very slightly annoyed by the wide round dropper because when I lower it back into the bottle, it almost always touches the side on the way in and some of the serum drips down the threaded glass edge of the bottle, making a mess and wasting product. Very minor, but annoying nonetheless. Now, this serum has a very particular scent. It really turned me off the first few times I used it, and I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is. But now I find myself looking forward to the scent, and I think that a testament to how luxurious this makes my skin feel and how easy it is to layer with other products. I can’t speak to effectiveness of dark spots yet, as this does purport to be a bit slower at that (I mean, dark spots are persistent and insidious as it is) so in the meantime, I’ll say that my skin is luminous and moisturized even when this is the only skincare product I use before bed or in the morning (beneath sunscreen of course, always always sunscreen). Before I forget, this layers in such a lovely way with both my sunscreen and also with a retinal product I use. No pilling! Though not instantly, it melts right into my skin, plumping it right up.

Does not work

It really does work! I have been using on various reddish/scar spots from acne on my face for a month or so now. Slowly, they have begun to fade. Serum is very soothing & easy to apply. No irritation, and i do have sensitive skin. Be patient! Your dark spots will be reduced!

I have been using this for about a month 2 times a day and am seeing the dark spots fade. It does have a pleasant scent and feels nice on the skin. I will continue to use in hopes my spots completely vanish. It is not cheap, but I am seeing results.

This La Roche-Posay serum truly delivers on its promises. I have been using it to even out my skin tone and fade acne marks, and the results are visible within just a few weeks. It has a lightweight texture that absorbs instantly without leaving a greasy feeling, and since it contains niacinamide, it is extremely gentle and causes no irritation at all. Although it is a high-end product with a premium price tag, it is totally worth it for its effectiveness and performance. Highly recommended!

I used this serum as described everyday for almost a month. The serum absorbed very well without leaving residues or makes my face sticky. However, no visible results on the dark spots on my face. I will keep using it but with the current results and hight price of this product, I am not sure if I will buy it again.

This has become a staple in my beauty routine & it’s something that I will definitely continue to use. Consistency is the key with this product. I have been using it morning & night for about 6 months & I feel that there is a noticeable difference. My skin feels & looks smoother. I have several acne scars that I feel have lightened & im very happy with its performance. It doesn’t feel heavy & I do feel that it works well as a daily brightener- but remember consistency is very important here. I definitely recommend this product if you have concerns about acne scars.

If you prioritize something with a cute package and irresistible scent this is not your serum. However if you struggle with dark spots on your skin/melasma this serum is definitely a helper with guaranteed improvements. It’s not a miracle maker but since I started using it 2x day some of my dark spots lit up or reduced size. More importantly - had no other dark spots appearing on my face since!!! It smells and has the texture of a treatment product- it’s not fragrant at all and if applied in excess will create a yellowish paste on the skin. However if well applied and spread on the skin before your moisturizer none of this will happen. I was quite faithful to caudalie’s vinoperfect serum (has an equivalent cost) but this one, in results definitely makes la roche posay in the lead of anti-pigmentation skincare.
