I purchased these for my job, upon arrival I realized the quality was not at all what I expected based of the picture in description. However the price is a great deal for 1000 lanyards, the money spent is not worth it. I don't believe they would last longer than a few days. When they arrived they were all tangled up, the "lanyards" material looked and felt like old shoe strings. Also the alligator clips felt as though they were made out of a few layers of tin foil. I really wish these would have worked for me. I am hoping I just happened to receive a "bag batch" because all other reviews seemed great and prompted me to purchase these. If you need a large order for say, a one day event, these are the ones for you. If you need something durable and presentable, these are not it. I wish I took a photo but shipped them right back out of frustration.

Below is my original review - when I gave this product 5 stars. After reordering these I had to come back & update this, since there is no way this deserves even 1 star any more. I purchased these first in 2014 for a convention we host. This years convention came around & we were about 20-30 short of what we need, so I came back to amazon & re-ordered the exact same product (there was the little banner at the top of the page telling me I had ordered this a year ago). I had a feeling something was up since the price was dramatically lower - it was $8 for 100. I thought either (a) I wasn't going to get 100 or (b) amazon had an error in the price. Unfortunately it's (c) these aren't the same product. The lanyards I received when I first ordered these are a quality product. The flat braid is tightly woven & quality material. The lanyards I received with this most recent order are absolute crap. There is no way I will use these for the convention. I will not hang a badge that has my company's logo on this product.I did in fact receive 100 - and the weight of those 100 is less than the 40 I have remaining from the original set I ordered. The entire product is different - and every single difference is a drop in quality. The material is complete crap - fraying, super thin. The clip itself is even crappier - it's lighter & thinner & some arrived with the pins coming out (actually most did). I've taken photos to show the difference - but since these are black the photos really don't show just how big of a difference there is.If I were to use these I would cringe every single time I looked at one of the attendees at our convention. Yes - these are ultimately just lanyards - if need be they would probably work, at least for the first day. But I would be embarrassed to have my company's name associated with a product this low in quality - no matter how trivial it may be. Instead i will be returning these & hopefully finding the ones I originally ordered elsewhere, but if not - I honestly doubt I could find anything crappier than this...shame since these used to be the best lanyards I had found yet.______________________________________________________I used these for a convention/meeting we (my company) host each year. In the past I've always used the ones with the standard lanyard clasp (the one where you push back the bit in the middle & slide the badge onto the clasp - the ones that inevitable warp the top hook area of any plastic badge holder). This year I decided I'd try these - and I'm so glad I did!! It took me 1/3rd the time getting the badges ready using these clips instead of the standard lanyard clasps!!They're really well made too - they have a nice quality feel to them & I like that they're flat instead of tubular.Definitely recommend these. I think there might have been a slight price difference between this & the lanyards I got last year - but if so it was incredibly small - and WELL worth the extra few bucks for the ease of use & superior quality.

Color was very vibrant. Clip worked well. But, WOW - they reaked!! The smell was horrible when you took them out of the package. It was clearly from the color dye. Wow.......even after airing them out for several days......WOW......not a good situation.

The Orange lanyards I ordered came looking a lot more yellow/mustard than orange. I'm a bit disappointed by that, but I needed them now, so I don't have time to mess around with returning them. They're also super cheap looking and will probably break. Luckily enough, I don't need anywhere near 100, so it's fine if a few break.

The colors do not match the photos at all. We ordered the yellow ones and the purple ones. In the batch of yellow ones, half are a darker golden yellow and half are a bright lemon yellow. The purple ones are all the same color at least, but they are a really light, pastel purple, like an Easter candy purple, rather than the dark purple shown in the photo.

I bought it for my Sunday school kids. It didn't last even for a day. With a slightest tug, it broke away. What a waste of money! It's very pretty in color-wise, but not sturdy enough for kids.

These are greatly priced for such a durable long lasting product! I bought these to hold coolant badges and have never had them break, unravel or come loose. Definitey go to for lanyards!

I ordered royal blue, navy, yellow, and white – the two blues are fine, but the white and yellow packs have a TON of duds. Super dirty, the fabric is messed up. I can't use most of these, but don't have time to return them. Bummed!

I ordered 200 of these lanyards for my sons graduation party. I received 195. The quality of the ones that I did receive was horrible there were a lot of them that were tattered and none of them were the same length. I will not order from this company again.

I ordered 100 white lanyards, at 15 cents each the price matches the product. The quality is fine overall but out of my 100 white lanyards, 16 are dirty and wont be used. Thankfully I only needed 50-75 so I have 'wiggle room' but unfortunate to have this many be too dirty to use. Don't think I would reorder since who knows how many dirty ones I would risk getting in my next order.

The main problem and really only problem is that I ordered 100 of these. I only received 50 bi did not even notice it until I started handing them out to students and ran short. VERY SHORT. I felt bad and they were disappointed.

Just know these are cheap and should be used if you only plan on using the lanyards for a short period of time. If you're looking for something to last, you will need spend much more.

I expected the color to be true orange, but it was more of a faded sad apricot color. They work ok, but not what I expected.

Do not recommend to use (inclimate weather)! The tips rust quickly. As a tag holder, would work as described.
